Hello - yes they can be washed in dishwasher - and you can use for triming as long as it’s not BONES or very thick stems (for example, thickness of rose / flower stems would be too thick)

Will this work with composite fabrics like kevlar and carbon fiber?

They work for Kevlar, but not as well as a purpose built pair. After cutting about 10 yards worth of Kevlar my Slice scissors were all chipped up along the blades, and no longer usable.
