It worked for me
I'm happy I bought this. It will save me hundreds of dollars in only a couple of years. The one thing is you do need to drill it out a bit like others have said, and adjust the bubble accurately, and once you get it set up and calibrated, it does a very good job I found.

Feels solid with clean moulding.
I have not used yet, but have used this type before. Everything seems well made. Thank you for the fast delivery. :)

I am SHOCKED
Yes, I was shocked at just how poorly this balancer worked right out of the box but I was equally shocked at how well it worked after a very simple mod.The first thing I will say is that it will just never work correctly out of the box due to a design flaw that is built into every single one of these balancers. The hardened pin that is on the end of the long support rod is tapered to a point and this is all fine and good. The problem lies in the fact that the hole in the pressed in steel piece that the pin sits on is the wrong diameter and has no taper to the edges. You can look at the the third picture to see what I'm talking about, but this poorly drilled hole causes the balancing head to just ride on the outer edges of the hole when it should be balancing only on the tip or point of the pin.As a test, with no wheel on, just give the balancer head a little push. It should be rocking around now and keep going for several minutes, yes I said minutes. If yours just moves for a few seconds, you have a problem with friction and you will struggle to get a wheel properly balanced and get repeatable results.Luckily there is a fairly easy fix to this and here is what I did to reduce the friction and get this thing working like it should have worked when it left the factory in ChinaFirst, remove the three small screws that hold the bubble level in place and then remove the whole bubble level and spring assembly that is inside. Now if you look straight down, you will see the steel insert that has the hole drilled to accept the pivot pin.Second, lift the balancing head from the shaft, then take a punch or something similar and tap that steel insert out of the aluminum balancing head, it does not take much force at all.Third, Carefully drill the hole in the insert a little larger than it is. The idea is to allow just the tip of the pin to rest on the steel insert not on the edges of the too small factory hole. I found that a Harbor Freight step bit that I had worked great for this. Don't go crazy here, I just removed the edges of the hole but did not drill all the way to the bottom so the factory depth was the same. You can see that in pic number 4.Lastly, Tap the now modified insert back into the head and reassemble everything. A drop of oil on the insert is a good idea also. Now give it the rock test again and hopefully this thing will rock and roll for a long long time now! Don't forget to adjust your level and balance the head by adding weights as necessary. After doing this mod, I was able to balance my wheels and have confidence in the results.OK, Well that was a lot of typing, Sorry if it got too long but I hope you found it helpful.
