SKSGermany Top Cage Water Bottle Cage

I love this bottle cage, it's discrete but doesn't have a splurging logo that tells everone i don't pay for insanely expensive stuff, overall its perfect.

This is just about the perfect water bottle cage. There's no reason to spend any more. It's light, it's tough, it holds a water bottle in place on a semi-rough mountain bike ride.

I use two of these cages on my saddle mount and have gone through several 4-6 hour rides without losing a bottle. I have had other cages mounted to my saddle and have lost a few Camelbak Podiums just from road vibration. So far I've had no problems carrying full bottles in these cages. The only time I've dropped a bottle has been when I was hopping off a curb. They may not be as great for frame mount, especially on the seatstay as you have to pull the bottle out straight.

Strong yet lightweight polymer. This is the good stuff, kind of like my pistol frames are made out of. Adjustable fit for flaky and dodgy bottles. Supplied with stainless screws and thick rubber washers to go against frame. You will need to use the low profile German screws for clearance. The Germans will often omit instructions for really simple installations, assuming that most people have common sense. Result: I actually tried to mount this with the washers under the screw heads until I realized that the bottle would rub on the elevated screw heads. Place the washers where they belong, against the frame, and you will have a vibration-free install and a thing of beauty. Space age or not, the thing is only polymer. One could possibly over tighten and damage it. I did not. The washers compress considerably, requiring increasing torque, and function as lock washers as well as vibration dampeners.Only drawback: can be easily scuffed by clumsy guys with big feet who sometimes ride in steel-toed work boots.

I really like this cage and bottle design, and am glad they have the adapter since I don’t have screws on my frame for a bottle holder. From what I’ve seen, this is a quality brand that’s been around a long time.

Exactly what I wanted. Simple cage, easy to install, holds water bottle firmly. Feels very solid and I like the way it looks. Only used on one 10 mile ride so far, got the hang of where I needed to set the bottle to slide it in easily about half way through my ride.

Great quality, simple and sturdy. Had one for many years and now bought more👍
