I bought this in a size small and only tried it on for a few seconds due to the intense smell (pretty sure it is formaldehyde). It took many weeks to arrive from China so a return is not feasible. The shipping cost was almost twice what the bra cost. I searched the web and washed it 6 times- 2 detergents, vinegar, baking soda, ammonia (which is supposed to break the formaldehyde down into harmless components) and finally borax. It is hanging outside and I finally got most of the smell out. After trying it on for those few seconds, I think it will work for a smaller size. It is not made of "velvet" it is not even made of terrycloth like a towel. It is made of what appears as a very thin unlined fleece. I didn't expect it to be the same quality as the top brand but I was also unwilling to spend the money for the top brand. Now that it's not smelling so toxic, I'll try it again. I may "up" the stars if it works well. I know that the shipping chemicals preserve against mold growth and what-not but there really has to be another more natural alternative.
