Emile Henry 9" Pie Dish, Citron Yellow

Though certainly not the cheapest pie dish, it performs perfectly in that it transfers heat evenly in the oven, cleans easily, and looks fantastic in presenting a pie for a dinner party. Truly a special piece for the kitchen.

This is a very beautiful, quality pie pan. But it's sooooo big. Made a pumpkin pie using the usual can of filling, but it only filled half the pan. It also took much longer an usual to bake I really don't know why. I'll try other pies, like Apple and see it I have better results.

I had been using Pyrex pie dishes for years, but have always had a problem getting the bottoms of quiches to cook well, even though I always pre-bake the shell for 12+ minutes. I was very impressed with my first few efforts with this pie dish, and have used it for both quiches and pumpkin pie with very nice results. I had been looking at these for a few years, and could never justify the extra cost, but am glad that I upgraded my cookware with this item. It browns very nicely, releases the pie easily, and I have had no problems with scratching even using metal knives. Clean up is extremely easy too. Recommended!

not sure what i am doing wrong, but expected world class pie and my pie came out soggy. IMHO this plate holds no magical properties

I love the quality, but the yellow is much duller than pictured. A Pyrex is a better investment. But their bigger model is killer.

I've been wanting an Emile Henry Classic Pie Dish for years. I finally made the purchase. It was well worth the weight! The Blue & White is absolutely beautiful, a dish you want to display. Very heavy compared to other clay/ceramic pie dishes I've had before. All the quality I expected from Emile Henry. My only observation to pass on: If you hand-wash the dish, be aware that when wet that glaze can be very slick and it would be easy to drop the dish. I'd suggest washing in the sink and towel dry close to your countertop so that if you loose your grip it doesn't fall far!

This blue matches my kitchen. I've owned Emile Henry before and have always been so pleased. Nothing sticks;it literally wipes out to clean. There are no knife marks or scratches of any kind. The baking is even andyour end result is a wonderful pie (quiche, baked dip) to put on the table in a lovely dish.

Gluten free crusts can be too crunchy when folder over to make a decorative edge - if they're even sturdy enough to be folded over! So I got this plate as a way to avoid that and still have a pretty pie for Christmas. It worked a charm and looked way better on the table than Pyrex. I'd probably get red if I ordered it again, but the blue is nice enough. Expensive, but I hope it will last a long time.
