What size of refills sand pads

Generally, the "steam iron" shaped pads cover the whole plate roughly 140mm x 95mm. You can pick them up in general hardware stores. If you want pads just for the diamond part, I think you may have to get the mouse branded ones, they're not that expensive

Where does the finger attach? I've seen one I can buy

At the very front of the underside. You simply undo the existing screw, add the detail sander and tighten the screw back up.
