The Mammoth Book of Madonna (Mammoth Books)

This Is One of the Best Biographies of Madonna This collection of pictures of Madonna and her family starts with a picture of Madonna as a toddler and ends with a photo taken in March 2014. The biography of Madonna photos covers 30 years. Perhaps my favorite image in the book is on page 113. It’s a publicity still for the movie “Dick Tracy.” The picture is Madonna, who played Breathless Mahoney, snuggling up behind “Big Boy Caprice” as they danced. Al Pacino played the Big Boy character and was huge in his padded costume. Madonna looked like Marilyn Monroe in the light-hearted photo. This reviewer’s second and third favorite photos were revealing photos of Madonna wearing her designer friend Jean Paul Gaultier’s “cone bra.” The book’s author Michelle Morgan had only attended six Madonna concerts and never met her, but she was a super fan almost from first seeing Madonna on television. She had turned her desire to be a writer into a successful career. Hopefully, she will have actually met her idol by this time.

LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I've been a Madonna fan since she first came out; and I have to say this book is a MUST HAVE!! It begins with her childhood and ends in early 2014. The book is easy to read; Writing on one page and a corresponding photo on the other. Most of these photo's I've never seen before (and I thought I seen them all). Overall, the book gives wonderful and unique insights on Madonna as a person, performer, artist, mother, daughter, lover, and wife. It shows the highs and lows of her career and personal life. I must say, this book is truly amazing. The author really did her homework when researching about this amazing woman. It's definitely a collector's item for any Madonna Fan!

As a woman who has enjoyed music by Madonna since around the early 90’s, this book The Mammoth Book of Madonna contained an abundance of details around Madonna’s life. Some of the exciting details shared around Madonna’s life; Madonna’s True Blue album and the love of her life who inspired it (page 68), Information and a picture of Madonna with Paul McCartney as it pertained to the 1999 MTV Awards when she received an award for her Beautiful Stranger song for the film Austin Powers;The Spy Who Shagged Me (pages 224-225), A July 2007 Live Earth concert picture film of Madonna and the mention of the Hey You song written by Pharrell Williams (page 348), and of course much more photos and details pertaining to Madonna’s life and her career.

A must for Madonna fans. Beautiful pics. Great info. Does not go in depth of course but it's a great coffee table book. Madonna fans will love this.

A nice book by a fan of hers, meaning not much dirt on this controversial artist. I also didn't like her immature view of Erotica, which many seem to have due to the sexual nature of the subjects. It's a great album period!

Excellent book with lots of rare pictures. My sister loved all the pictures it comes with for a very good price. A must have for all Madonna freak's 🤗

I love the pictures inside this book! If you are a fan of Madonna and want something to keep as a collectible picture book then this is a good book!

Not really what I thought it would be but for the money it's a solid book made very well and great quality.

El contenido en realidad es información que todos sabemos ya, un recorrido por la vida de Madonna. Cada página de texto a la izquierda se corresponde con una página a la derecha de una sola imagen y eso es lo único que le hace diferente, aparte del hecho de estar escrito por una fan. Cosa que, en lugar de beneficiar al contenido, lo desfavorece en este caso por la falta de crítica objetiva. Se trata de una serie de hechos expuestos cronológicamente que no pueden ser discutidos en su mayoría. Esto hace el texto un poco aburrido.A must have fot diehard fans, this book is different to others only for the fact that, mirroring a piece of text on the left page, there's a picture on the right page that more or less represents what's been said. But what the author herself tells us is nothing new. The fact that it's been written by a fan without any sight of criticism whatsoever, makes it even a bit more boring. The facts are set out chronologically as we all know them.En resumen, si eres súper fan, te lo recomiendo. Pero por tenerlo, por que forme parte de tu colección, por la calidad de impresión, las fotos, etc. No por lo que te cuenta sobre Madonna. Yo que soy una persona muy analítica (que me encantó "Madonna as a Postmodern Myth", con eso te digo todo y que me sé la vida y milagros de Madonna al dedillo y por cierto, ni caso les hago), no le encuentro nada interesante realmente desde el punto de vista del contenido por mucho que lo he buscado. Pero no me arrepiento para nada de haberlo comprado.To sum up, if you're a diehard fan, I totally recommend it. But just so you have it as a part of your collection of M's collectibles, and because of the quality of the printing, some of the pictures that perhaps you haven't seen before... Not because of what it will tell you about M. As for me, being a very analytical person (who loved "Madonna as a Postmodern Myth", this tells it all; and who knows Madonnas life and miracles of Our Lady Madonna by heart although her private life and how she got to stardom is what interests me the least about her) I just can't find any interesting bits in the book much as I've searched. Je recommende ce livre à tous les fans de Madonna. Il est très interressant et ponctué de très belles et rares photos.

Era para un fan de Madonna y la verdad que se quedó encantado. Está en inglés pero este chico sabe que poca cosa se edita en castellano.

article bien reçu et dans un très bon état. de nombreuses photos toutes commentées (parfois peu connues). le livre est en anglais mais en ayant de bonnes bases (et en connaissant la vie de madonna, on comprend). enfin, ce fut mon cas. peut etre sortira t'il bientot en francais ??! une petite bible sur madonna à posséder d'urgence pour tout fan qui se respecte!!
