Look sharp
I bought this a costume party. But I kind of wish ascot were still fashionable. It looks sharp and is so much more comfortable than a buttoned up shirt and neck tie. Very high quality

I was married in this Ascot
This was the final piece of my wedding ensemble.I am a long-time ascot wearer; it's not a costume, it's not a joke, it's not cosplay. It's menswear. This is a casual ascot, so perhaps not the first choice for wearing with an exacting suit type like a tuxedo or morning suit, but quite nice for anything else."But what about your pictures? I see you wearing it with what appears to be a three-piece morning suit!"Yes, indeed. However, my wedding suit was not attempting to fit into any particular tradition.I based the look mainly on the morning suits of the Edwardian period, but took many liberties in modernizing it. The swirly pattern was chosen to match my bride's somewhat swirly embroidered wedding dress. Wearing the ascot with a vest is...obvious. Not that I never wear an ascot inside the open shirt collar, in the ultra-casual style, but I was getting married, not working in the garden while I wait for the town crier to deliver news of the revolution.Wearing this ascot with a wing-tip collar is not the simplest, as the middle band has three folds and is quite wide. Still, I wanted a more filled-out look for this and folding one band under the other two let it fit the collar space quite nicely. I ended up sewing it that way, but I wouldn't say that's completely necessary unless you are concerned about the alignment of the seams like I was.I experimented with a few knots, but in the end I settled on a loose double Windsor. I wanted volume in the knot and a straight line with the ascot's fall, hence my eschewing the more traditional morning suit ascot knots. The tie tack was chosen to compliment my bride's jewelry, but I do recommend a tie tack for any ascot wearing with a three-piece suit; it's not obligatory, but it helps keep things neat and stop the knot from loosening while you cut a rug. For this particular pattern, the large shiny tack worked well at standing out from the ascot and being noticeable. The ascot itself is fine quality. It's smooth to the touch, thick, and well sewn. There is no inside padding, so don't expect something ultra-stiff. It can certainly be worn casually, inside the open collar of your shirt, but I will say it's rather thick for doing so in the summer months (depending on your climate). If you are looking for an ascot to wear with a very strict suit-type, double check the suit specifications and make sure that this type of 'casual ascot' will work. There you have it, the ascot review that nobody asked for but the world needs.

Makes a statement!
Beautiful pattern but a little on the thin side. So I made double Knot to make it fuller looking.

Very stylish
This was a great price, and the fabric is really nice. It looks smart with a button down and waistcoat!

Good and Cheap, but short.
Good cheap ascot for limited use. It is quite short, so you are limited to style of knots and use, but for the price it is ok for what I needed. As a beneath the shirt cravat, it is ok and used with a high button vest. But a low cut formal style vest, this will be too short. The collar section is very wide, so it really only works for a wing collar tux shirt if you tie it like an ascot. It will stick out quite below a standard turn down collar.
