An excellent hifi, flat head style earbud
UPDATE: Got in some donut foams from a different vendor, and boy I wish FAAEAL had included donut foams. The Iris 2.0 sound much more balanced with no foam pads at all, but of course then they don't fit well in the ear without pads. Donut foams end up being a great point of harmony between their naked sound and a good fit in the ear.Original review:So, there are definitely some small complaints I have about this set, but if you're interested in flat head style earbuds and wince at the thought of waiting on shipping times from overseas companies, I recommend you jump in here.Loose change out of the way; the cord is a bit too weighty for the way this style of bud sits in the ear, there is no neck cinch, it only comes with two sets of full foams, and the inline controls are awkward. But these are wonderfully clean sounding. They have good tonality without EQ, though they are distinctly warm (extra high-bass through low- mids). If you love bass, these are about par, pretty neutral, but no worries they take EQ for loads of extra bass without distorting. I love the openness and spaciousness of the sound, something an in-ear type of headphone has never given me. They've become my new favorite pair.As I mentioned, the cable weight is a bit much, so I've taken to looping the cable around the back of my neck to prevent pulling at the buds. There is some sticky, squeaking of the cables against the plastic housing of the buds (MX500 style shell) if there's excess movement of the cable. It's hard to recommend them for walking usage because of all this, but this style of bud doesn't block out a bit of outside noise so hopefully you plan to use them at home.

Great soundstage, best value
Compared few over-the-ear earbuds and some of my non-scientific comparisons and potentially biased findings since it depends on several factors (tested only modern music on smartphone):- Sony MDR-E9: thin sound, virtually no soundstage and no bass- Sony MDR-E10 (discontinued): better than E9, not as good though as other options- Panasonic RP-HV096: decent soundstage, decent frequency response, about average- Sansa included earbuds: sounds great and similar to better options below- Sennheiser MX365/375: all discontinued so you pay premium. The MX375 has louder midtones than 365 (more V-shape) but with adjusted eq very similar. I found MX365 slightly more comfortable but close. Both sound similar to Faaeal IRIS 2.0 which is still produced and significantly cheaper. Great soundstage and good lower frequency response for this type of headphone, could be bit brighter at higher frequencies but overall good- Faaeal Iris 2.0 with mic: didn't need mic but wasn't available without currently. Sounds very similar to MX375. Great soundstage and good low to mid frequency response. Wish upper frequencies would be little bit more pronounced but otherwise excellent especially for the price

Decent sound, but….
These are actually pretty good for inexpensive earphones. Sold quality is solid, with dynamic range that allows you to hear separation in the instruments. But the sound quality appeared to diminish over time rather quickly. If you like this style it’s a decently. (For a while).

Great headphones for people who like traditional headphones
I don't like headphones that you stick in your ear canal, or that have some kind of uncomfortable design that partially sticks in your ear canal. This is a traditional headphone that sits outside your ear and is very comfortable. The sound is also very good, I tried other headphones which were not as good. Depending on your ear size YMMV but they fit perfectly on my ears without any additional rubber coverings. The design of the cord makes it easy to untangle, which is par for the course for earphones with cables.I don't write a lot of reviews, but if you like a traditional earphonse, I think you will like these. I've had them for a couple of weeks now, I wanted to make sure they wouldn't die on me. But they're still going strong.

Really great headphones but...
These headphones are really nice, comfortable, I love the material feel, the sound quality is really good and the mic works really well, a nit pick would be if I could get some covers for the earphones I wouldn't mind paying extra for.My one issue that probably should drop this from being a 5 is after about a month's worth of use (I use headphones and earphones heavily for my work and while I commute and as I am by technology literally all day I'm a bit of a heavy user) I did notice the overall audio output level drop, at first I thought it was just my ears or my phone having issues but after swapping earphones and trying it on other devices I've come to conclude its the actual earphones the output is lower causing me to have to raise the overall output on my phone (I do tend to listen to things on a very low volume already as I have pretty sensitive ears so I usually don't raise the volume of things as I don't usually need to to get the full experience) which in turn comes with some of the drawbacks to having raised audio output but without the irritation to your ears because the audio is still lower than it should be (so slight distortion). Otherwise I think these headphones are great and if you aren't a heavy user you probably won't experience this issue nearly as quickly as I did.

Not a fan
The sound is good and is one of the better earbuds but I did not like the wiring. Felt uncomfortable when resting against my cheek or chin. It is basically metal and is heavy. The mic as expected isn’t that good but serviceable for quick calls.
