Arrived swiftly on time. Well packaged. Item is so easy to use. Charge is sourced close to power button. Charged very quickly. To use open zip it expands easily if needed. Place item to be sanitised on silver side up. Close and make sure the fastener meets the magnet. Turn on the power button the light blinks for 30 second and then stops. Open case and turn item over and repeat the process which will take another 30 seconds. So far have used for my phones and mask.

A good gadget that I used not very often, just as an when needed (maybe once every few weeks) - anyway, purchased this in March 2023 and in the past week had problems using it (would charge it to full then press the button to use it the next day only to find out it's out of battery) - so it's stopped working in March/April 2024 - as such not happy with the product!

A smartphone sanitiser is not something I would ever have thought to an item of interest to me until the advent of the current global pandemic compelled a change of priorities; thus it was that the HoMedics UV-Clean Phone Sanitiser became another tool in the antiseptic armoury of the defences of the Asparagus household.The portability of the unit is a huge plus, being small and light and usable independently of power sockets, being rechargeable for "up to 70 cleaning cycles per charge" - that would certainly seem more than sufficient and suggests that power won't be an issue.The contemporary smartphone tends to go wherever its user goes, - that of course is the point - but it also may get placed on so many different surfaces, or used in so many different environments that it would be difficult indeed to ensure complete protection, so this device is the ideal solution, flooding one's phone with sufficient UV to sterilise it of bio-contaminants. I suggest regular cleaning of the screen with alcohol wipes in concert with the UV cleaning, as a "belt & braces" kind of double insurance, because of course it is the biological contaminants that the UV deals with.The whole device is rather smart, it's like a large soft-bodied zippered protective case for the phone that expands upwards rather like the roof of a camper van; its easy to use (instructions are on the box, so don't bin the packaging too soon!) and does its work in little over a minute - that's 30 seconds a side as the UV emitter is from one side only. It seems impressively well-built, and the automatic safety cut-out feature that prevents UV emission if the case is open is extra reassuring for those who may be somewhat unnerved by the word "radiation".I really haven't delved into the phone sanitiser market sufficiently to accurately assess value, but I can attest that this is certainly very well made and gives an impression of inherent quality; it is very portable, and in these troubled times, that will surely make it worthwhile for those whose budget allow for it.

Nicely packaged and of a good weight, with a velcro top on the box to lift for further information. The tight packaging should reduce any risk of damage during transit. There's a good safety feature of needing to close the case and locking it in place before use, however the instructions were not clear in the fact that I needed to place the zipper pull tab on to the magnetic strip, hence it took a couple of attempts to get it working at first. It is useful to have quick instructions in picture format, however I did need to read the written ones to find out the important aspects e.g. led colours, safety features and charging time, which happens to be 2-3 hours for a full charge.The case itself is solid and roomy inside. I did wonder if my Samsung A71 would fit and I can just about squeeze it in there. Anything larger and it wouldn't have worked for me. The pop up design is awkward and stiff to lift up. Although there are extended edge sections to help pull it up, I found it would lift with effort unevenly, one side, then the other. Furthermore, this section is made out of rubber and I am unsure of the durability. Hence I will likely leave it lifted to avoid overuse, defeating the point of it being compact. The lift up flap to the charging port is flimsy and again, I worry how long this will last. Also, there wasn't anything in the instructions as to whether I could include my phone case during the cleaning process, but the phone on the back of the packaging looks to have one on, so I can only assume it was okay to do so.To test how well the device has cleared the germs from my phone, it would be handy to have something with it that highlight germs before and after, because I can't tell whether or not it works and how effective it is, so I can only assume it is doing the job.There is a short lead included, but no indication for storage, so I've popped mine inside the case to keep it safe and prevent it from getting lost. I timed how long it took to sanitise each side and it was exactly 30 seconds each, which I thought would be tedious to wait for, however it flew by, fortunately.Overall, it's a good little device, but with no way of checking how well this works. It's handy during the pandemic yet I can't imagine I'll continue to use it once everything has settled though and will probably be forgotten about in the back of a drawer somewhere.

I read a lot of bad reviews that it did not power up, powered off, etc. I did not have that experience as long as it was charged for several hours at first and occasionally thereafter. Also must ensure that the zipper is closed all the way to the end and the tab is pressed into the magnet. Does it kill bacteria and viruses? Who knows? Can't grow things out in a Petrie dish like they do on the Phone Soap ad sales videos at home so you just have to trust that the UV light is doing what it is supposed to do--sanitize. I have had this for about 2 months or so and use it to sanitize face masks, my phone, my glasses mostly.

Se trata de un desinfectador de objetos con tecnología Led UV-C de la prestigiosa marca Homedics.Tiene un diseño muy original, estéticamente es bonito y práctico, con una superficie fácil de limpiar y además es plegable, con lo que podemos llevarlo incluso en el bolso o en una maleta si vamos de viaje, ya que es muy ligero de peso y no ocupa casi nada de espacio.Respecto a su funcionamiento, es inalámbrico, se carga mediante un cable usb incluido, tan solo necesitaremos un adaptador de corriente como los que usamos para móviles y tabletas.El dispositivo funciona de manera muy sencilla, simplemente lo desplegamos, abrimos su cremallera, e introducimos en el interior el objeto que queremos desinfectar. Cerramos bien la cremallera, pulsamos el botón de inicio y veremos que la lud led parpadeará en azul. Cuando pase 1 minuto, la luz se apagará, señal de que el objeto ya esta desinfectado y ya podemos extraerlo con total tranquilidad.Aunque en principio pone que es para desinfectar móviles, en las instrucciones ya nos indican que también sirve para otros objetos, yo de hecho lo estoy usando para todo tipo de cosas que uso a diario: gafas, llaves, mascarillas, relojes, portamonedas y por supuesto, también el móvil, os aseguro que vale para todo esto y más, caben hasta las gafas, cosa que no ocurre con otros muchos desinfectadores portátiles.Respecto a la seguridad de su uso, no hay que temer por los posibles efectos nocivos de la luz UV-C, pues este estuche cuenta con cierre de seguridad en la cremallera, y si el tirador de la cremallera no está situado magnéticamente en la posición de encendido, el aparato no se pone en marcha y la luz led parpadea en rojo para avisarnos.En cuanto a la duración de la batería, esta muy bien puesto que podremos usarlo hasta 70 veces anntes de necesitar cargarlo de nuevo.El unico aspecto que me resulta raro y al que me cuesta adaptarme es al hecho de que los botones parecen estar en la base del aparato, pues la cremallera esta en el lado contrario y una vez lo cierras tienes que girarlo para pulsar el botón y ver cuando termina el proceso de desinfección, pero como ya digo, no lo considero como algo negativo, es una simple cuestión de acostumbrarse a usarlo de esta manera.En definitiva, me ha gustado este desinfectador de objetos porque es muy ligero, no es nada aparatoso, externamente es bonito y es sencillo de limpiar y además es muy seguro, por lo que considero que es un buen producto.Ciertamente, no puedo saber seguro si es efectivo o no, espero que si lo sea y confío en una marca como Homedics, que siempre me ha dado buenos resultados, y ahora con el tema de los virus, pienso que no está de más aportar a nuestras rutinas diarias un extra de higiene y desinfección para estar más seguros y proteger la salud de nuestra familia.

Credo che al giorno d'oggi tutti dovrebbero avere un dispositivo di sterilizzazione portatile.Questo é molto comodo, di buona qualità ed é abbastanza piccolo da portarlo in giro ma, al tempo stesso, abbastanza grande da contenere occhiali, chiavi e soprattutto smartphone.Ho letto di qualcuno che aveva problemi con un telefono grande: io ho un OnePlus 6 da 6.3" circa e non ho assolutamente alcun problema! Ci entra perfettamente.La zip credo sia l'unico punto "debole": ha un piccolo magnete che si attacca, una volta chiuso" al piccolo sensore che permette l'avvio della sterilizzazione. Il problema potrebbe essere proprio questo: se poi non si attacca più dopo tot tempo? Bisognerà trovare una soluzione e farlo tenere fermo ma questo rende meno sicuro l'apparecchio che dev'essere perfettamente chiuso.Se non si attacca quel piccolo magnete tutto il processo non parte, il led lampeggerà sempre di rosso.Una volta collegato il piccolo magnete vicino al sensore (é indicato nella descrizione ma lo mostro anche nel video che ho caricato) si può partire con il processo di sterilizzazione che dura circa 30 secondi. Ovviamente se é un telefono dovrete farlo per entrambi i lati quindi in poco più di un minuto avrete fatto.Si può fare con qualsiasi cosa a patto che ci entri: occhiali, chiavi ecc... Pensavo fosse più piccolo ma, come scritto nel libretto, bisogna spingere il fondo per allargarlo e poi si può procedere con la sterilizzazione! Funziona anche senza "allargarlo" ma credo abbia meno effetto.Ripeto, credo che tutti, dopo il Covid-19, debbano avere uno sterilizzatore UV in casa o portatile! Non si scherza di questi periodi e questo credo sia un'ottima scelta.Consigliatissimo!La batteria per ora regge ancora, l'ho caricato oggi (in circa un'ora, era arrivato già mezzo carico) e l'ho utilizzato almeno su 10 cose diverse e non ha dato segno di cedimento.Ultima cosa che mi viene da ridire: non ha i led che indicano la carica residua! Praticamente non saprete quanta carica c'é fino a che non si scarica. Per il resto é ottimo davvero, soprattutto i materiali.Consigliatissimo a tutti e per tutto! Spedizione velocissima, arrivato in 24h.

Todo bien hasta después de la primer carga, es de mala construcción y tiene un falso que conecta el mecanismo de seguridad del sipper con el resto del circuito y ya no puedo usarlo separado separado (3ra foto),en otras palabras solo funciona como en la segunda foto y no cabe un celular.Si lo vas a usar para celulares no lo recomiendo, si lo usarás para llaves, tarjetas y cosas pequeñas sí te podría funcionar pero no sé cuánto tiempo.

Easy to use, good directions, charges fast, portable. You run the unit twice, once for each side of the phone. The time it is in the unit is very short. which makes me unsure of how effective it is - - but it may be standard time for these types units. I clean my phone let it dry and then I put in the unit. I am not sure how effective it is because there is no way to tell, but in the current climate it is an added cleaning step to bring peace of mind.
