Boy does my wife love this printer
We purchased this to replace an old Epson 2200 that had seen better days. Thus far, the P900 has exceeded all expectations. Since we are using this for personal printing of photos rather than as a professional photographer would, the set-up was straightforward and we haven't needed to mess around with advanced settings. The Wi-Fi setup was simple and my wife can print from her multiple Apple devices and I can print from my Android phone and Windows based laptop. Three months in, we have had zero problems. Picture quality is as sharp as anything you could want. Colors are incredibly life-like and vivid. Blacks and Grey's are equally impressive. The printer also uses wide format paper up to 17 inches and that's without purchasing a paper-roll attachment for banner length printing. So my artist wife and her non-artistic spouse (me) couldn't be happier with this printer. It's admittedly a little expensive, but the printing results are as professional as anything I've seen.

Broken Less than Two Weeks after Warranty Expired
I'm a professional photographer who has used the P900 regularly for the past year. I've been quite impressed with its features, particularly the color tones. However, The printer started producing vertical banding about six weeks ago (less than two weeks out of warranty). I tried every fix that is documented & the banding continued. After enduring Epson's [sic] customer support, they basically said, "too bad." & tried to sell me a new printer. High-end color printers can be finicky, but I expect more from customer support. I won't be buying any Epson products again.

Great Printer
I'm a professional photographer. I use the P900 for my black and white printing needs. It's excellent. It does have a couple of drawbacks. One is ink choice. If you want deeper blacks, you have to use a certain paper. I like a heavy paper and often a heavy textured paper. I'm still experimenting with this, trying to figure out how to get more ink on certain papers. The other *major* drawback is the price for the ink cartridges. Granted you'll seldom have to buy all 10 cartridges at once, but if you do, it's going to cost you around $450 for all ten.Epson needs to furnish an initial 10 FULL cartridges that come with the printer, not the sorta 10 half-full ones. That's like buying a new car and the dealer puts enough gas in it for you to drive it home. Wouldn't hurt to lower the price on ink, either.I like the printer, though. I gave it Five Stars. So far, there isn't anything that makes me regret buying it. Really don't need the little pop-up LCD, but it's there just the same. Use it, don't use it...buyer's choice. This printer has a lot of good stuff going for it. Read the specs thoroughly before you buy. Read some dependable reviews. Make sure it's what you need.

Printer is Wonderful. Roll Feeder Makes it Even Better
I bought this printer primarily because it would print large format on roll media. So I added the roll feeder to the printer. Two things to remember. When attaching the feeder its important to pay attention to the angles. It felt like it didn't fit until I did that. Then it came together just like it was supposed to.And when loading roll media, make sure to select the media type before inserting the media into the printer. I started with satin canvas but did not select the type and the printer refused to load the media. Once I selected the media type, it loaded just like it should.People have complained about the initial inks not lasting long enough. My printer did use about half of the ink during the priming process. But I have since been able to print thee 30" X 5" prints and still have more than a third of the ink left in each reservoir. Yes, the inks are expensive. But, the prints are amazing on either satin canvas or matte fine art role paper. I am very pleased, so far.

US customer, bought printer shipping to US address, RECEIVED PRINTER WITH LATIN SERIAL NUMBER
The printer I bought shipped from an Amazon third party vendor. Not fulfilled my Amazon or Epson. These Epson printers do not work in all regions. The printer I received was manufactured for Latin region. It did not work with my US bought/based computer. The printer results are not as good as previous Epson printers have produced because the computer and printer were not made to work together. I *do* recommend Epson printers!! But the regions must line up together. I called Epson support to try to figure out why this new printer was failing to provide good results. Epson support checked the serial number and told me to return the printer. I believe the third party seller is willfully selling a cheaper latin region printer to a more expensive US based audience. If you buy this printer and look up your serial number on Epson's warranty website, you can confirm if you have a printer from the correct region to match your computer.

Great product/price, but a few loose ends
Product arrived quickly and was easy to set up. Works great—a fitting successor to my Epson SP3880, which I loved. Yes the ink is expensive and you basically need a complete set ($440) soon after you start using this printer, but it produces stunning prints—at least B&W; I’m still fine tuning the color output, which is a bit trickier. But my beef, which you’ll find in other reviews as well, is with the warranty. Amazon’s vendor, Cargo Mart, somehow got their hands on a bunch of Epson SC900 printers intended for the Latin American market. Same printer as the one sold in the US, as far as I can tell, but the difference is that Epson won’t honor its warranty on these if they weren’t actually purchased in Latin America. Fortunately, I read the reviews and knew this, but it still took four or five phone calls and a couple of days to get Cargo Mart to pony up a third-party warranty for this printer, to replace the defunct Epson warranty. Now we all hope we never have to use our warranty, but for a printer that costs $1,300, I am sleeping better now knowing I at least have one. Just something to beware of before you take the plunge.Otherwise, great printer!
