Beautiful Pen
I love this pen! Why do I love this pen?- it’s classy and stylish, the combination of the red and gold is just so stunning.- the grip section is metal and during warmer months some other pens become slippery if writing for longer periods. But this pen is textured at the grip section which means there’s no slipping.- the grip section is tactile and wonderful to gold.- I love Parker nibs. They are etched and not just laser engraved and look beautiful.- great value for money it being a gold nib- it was a perfect match with the J Herbin rouge hematite ink!- the nib is smooth and depending on the ink you put in can be very juicy. There’s nothing not to like really.

Great pen
The details of the pen was perfect and I can change from a ink cartridge to a ink converter and vice versa. It does come with 2 ink cartridges and a ink converter so you can switch between the two.Holds nicely in my hand and writes perfectly for a left hander. However do research before hand to know which nib is perfect for a left hander as it won’t tell you here and not all nib size is suitable for some who writes with their left hand.Perfect for me as I won’t be spending loads of money on replacing my pens. Be careful if you are planning on taking it with you everywhere as you don’t want to lose a really nice and expensive pen. I only use mine for hand written letters and note taking at home as my work provides pens and I don’t need to write that often as we use tablets.

Excellent pen
Although small, the Sonnet is a very comfortable pen to use. The nib and ink flow are excellent. There's a little character to the stoke. Cap posts well.Prices tend to be a bit higher than I'd like.Cheaper and excellent Chinese pens are available - Jinhao x750 - but may be larger and less classy. The Jinhao imitation of the Sonnet is good, but the cap doesn't post. In most respects the Parker Sonnet is a winner.

Clearly marked as an 18k nib, fantastic pen.
Good value, clearly marked as an 18k nib. Nicely weighted and beautiful to write with, so pleased a chose the fine nib. I haven’t written with an ink pen since leaving school and I can’t imagine writing with another pen now.

Very nice pen
This pen looks really gorgeous, (gloss black and silver), and is very nice to write with. Of the fountain that pens that I own it's the most expensive I have, and the only one with a solid gold nib. Yet, after a month or so of daily use, has not become my favourite to write with. It's very good, but a few hard starts give me pause. I have a Parker 95 owned since 1886 that has never failed to write first time. Overall for the build quality i'd say it is worth the money but my advice would be go for the steel nib. Honestly I'm not seeing any advantage to the solid gold nib. Slightly more spring with negligible line variation, so what's the point? If I were buying again I'd get the cheaper steel nib.

Perfect! This pen was out of stock for many days, it did not live up to my waiting. It looks very beautiful, the pen tip is very smooth, suitable for women.

Quality control seems to be an issue
The pen writes very nice, the build quality looks great too! But I have to say the quality control might be an issue. The pen I received was hard starting and skipping, should definitely not be happening to a premium pen if it doesn't even happen to my cheaper Lamy Al Star pen.Booking in for a replacement to see how it goes.

A Fine Writing Implement in Every Respect
This pen is instantly recognizable as the high-end fountain pen it is. From the moment you see the gold-engraved lettering on the magnetic lid of the luxurious box until you finish writing with a smile on your face you know you’re dealing with quality. The gold plated “fine” nib is perfectly ground and polished so that it lays down a perfectly smooth, consistent, and continuous line with absolutely no skipping or blotching EVER! The pen doesn’t dry out between uses and writes oh so smoothly. This fountain pen has a nice heft and balance that tells your brain you are holding a quality instrument from the moment you take it in your hand. During very long writing sessions, the weight can be noticeable after a long while if you don’t have a relaxed grip, but personally I like the gravitas of a substantial pen. When holding and using this pen, there’s absolutely no doubt that its an expensive, well-crafted, and world-class writing implement. This is pen design and manufacturing at its finest. The fit and finish are first rate and as good as I have ever seen on a pen. It’s obvious that the manufacturing tolerances are extremely tight and superbly well executed. As for styling, the combination of high gloss black with gold accents is just beautiful and exudes class. This pen most definitely makes a statement and is an attention-getter. Literally everyone who has ever seen this pen has commented that it looks very expensive or high-quality and it often elicits comments like “I can’t imagine what you paid for that!” or “wow, that looks like it was really expensive!”. When others have tried it, they are invariably amazed and impressed with how smoothly and beautifully it writes. I think of this pen as an heirloom item that I expect to pass on to my children. I’m not usually precious about things like this, but it’s so nice that I bought a leather sheath to minimize the chances of scratching or damaging it and after a few months of use it still looks brand new. I’ve refilled it several times now (8-10) and I haven’t even had to clean it between refills (even though all pens should be rinsed out at refill time, especially when changing ink colors). I guess the best praise I can give it is to say that if I lost this pen tomorrow, I would replace it immediately.

Perfect
At how nicely my $30 fountain pen wrote (compared to cheap ballpoints ive used forever) I thought there wouldnt be much difference. It posts perfectly. The weight is perfect. Ink flow is nearly flawless. I'm a lefty so occasionally I'll start a letter on an odd angle and it doesn't skip a beat. It also writes beautifully with NO PRESSURE. This may be the 18k gold nib? But you literally don't have to apply any pressure for perfect ink flow. It's like magic. Would recommend 100x over. I found the gift for this year that i'll be giving to a few people I know would enjoy this.

Excellent
