Finally found really comfy boxers that I don’t hate!
Maybe it’s genetic that my dad and I are so picky about boxers. I’ve been trying various brands and materials for years now, hoping to land on the right combination. I’ve finally found it in these.Ordered a pack for myself to try over a year ago. They held up so well, I ordered another pack around Christmas 2024, then got a pack as a gift for my dad’s birthday. He also liked them so much, he had me order two more of these Gildan packs for him in various colors - I’ve gone with all black for myself - and he’s literally now throwing away his “Kirk” warehouse store brand boxers that keep shape shifting in the wash.

Boxers!
I bought a package of these for my boyfriend and the quality of these are amazing! The seam quality is amazing! He had the problem of his boxers riding up and his legs rubbing together all the time all in all the stay in place for the most part! They aren’t too thick but that are breathable! This looks are amazing 😜 I wash they like I was everything else and they’ve seemed to last a long while !

Soft and Comfortable Boxer Briefs, but Sizing Runs Slightly Small
I purchased the Gildan Men's Underwear Cotton Stretch Boxer Briefs (Black Soot, 5-Pack, Medium) about a month ago for my husband, who needed reliable, comfortable underwear for daily wear, gym workouts, and family activities with our 10- and 11-year-old nephew and son, like Wii gaming sessions with our Eanetf sensor bar. As someone who values functional activewear (think FIONECA shorts and ASICS shoes), I wanted boxer briefs that balance comfort, durability, and value. After he’s worn them for 12-15 days, here’s my detailed take on their performance, including pros, cons, and tips for other buyers. How I Used ItThese boxer briefs are made of 95% cotton and 5% spandex, featuring a 6-inch inseam, moisture-wicking technology, a contoured pouch, tag-free design, and a covered elastic waistband. I chose Medium for my husband’s slim 5’9”, 150-pound frame with a 32-inch waist, expecting a snug fit based on his Ohoo hoodie (Small). He wore them for daily tasks, treadmill runs (30 minutes at 7 mph), and casual outings in 60-70°F weather, pairing them with his FIONECA shorts. I washed them four times (cold water, machine-dried on low, per care instructions) to test durability, color retention, and fit, storing them in his dresser.ProsSuper Soft Fabric: The 95% cotton and 5% spandex blend is incredibly soft and breathable, feeling like a favorite T-shirt, as noted on Gildan’s site for its ring-spun cotton. My husband says they’re as comfy as his pricier Under Armour briefs, especially for all-day wear.Great Moisture Wicking: The Cool Spire technology keeps him dry during sweaty gym sessions, with no damp feeling after runs, aligning with Amazon reviews praising breathability for active users.Comfortable Waistband: The covered elastic waistband is non-binding and doesn’t dig in, even during active Wii Sports matches, as an Amazon reviewer raved about its no-roll design for larger waists.Snug, Supportive Fit: The contoured pouch and 6-inch inseam provide excellent support without bunching, staying in place during lunges and walks, as Walmart buyers noted for the legs not riding up.Excellent Value: At $12-$18 for five pairs, they’re a steal compared to Hanes ($15 for 3) or Under Armour ($30 for 3), offering similar comfort and durability, as an Amazon reviewer highlighted for budget shoppers.ConsSlightly Small Sizing: The Medium fits snugly, almost like a Small, especially around the thighs (20 inches), echoing Amazon reviews advising to size up for a 32-34-inch waist. A Large might suit him better for a looser fit.Minor Seam Fraying: After four washes, one pair showed slight fraying at the leg seams, similar to an Amazon review noting construction issues in some pairs. It’s not a dealbreaker but raises durability concerns.Initial Tightness: Out of the box, they felt a bit restrictive around the thighs, requiring a wear or two to break in, as an Amazon reviewer mentioned for snug designs. They loosened up but may bother those who prefer relaxed fits.Basic Design: The all-black soot color is sleek but lacks variety or flair, as an Amazon review noted for those wanting fun prints. It’s functional but not stylish like Calvin Klein.ComparisonsCompared to Hanes ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs ($15 for 3), the Gildan briefs are softer and wick moisture better, though Hanes offers a looser fit, per Amazon. His Under Armour HOVR briefs ($30 for 3) are more durable but pricier, with a tighter pouch, per Walmart. The FIONECA shorts’ liner is less supportive than these briefs, but both excel in breathability. Fruit of the Loom Breathable Briefs ($12 for 4) are cheaper but stretch out faster, per Amazon reviews. The Gildan 4-Pack Long Leg ($15) has a longer inseam but runs tighter, per Kohl’s. These briefs strike a great balance of comfort and price for daily and active use, complementing his Ohoo hoodie’s casual vibe.Tips for BuyersSize Up if Between Sizes: For a 32-34-inch waist, consider Large instead of Medium for a more relaxed fit, as Amazon reviewers suggest for thigh comfort. Check the size chart (Medium: 32-34” waist).Wash Gently: Machine wash cold and dry on low to prevent seam fraying or stretching, using a laundry bag for extra protection, per an Amazon tip.Break Them In: Wear them once or twice to adjust to the snug fit, especially if you have athletic thighs, addressing initial tightness noted on Amazon.Pair with Activewear: These shine under gym shorts like FIONECA or for casual wear with hoodies, as their moisture-wicking tech suits active lifestyles, per Walmart.Who Should Buy This? The Gildan Men’s Cotton Stretch Boxer Briefs (Black Soot, 5-Pack, Medium) are ideal for men with slim to average builds seeking soft, supportive underwear for daily wear, workouts, or mild weather (60-70°F). They’re great for budget-conscious buyers needing moisture-wicking comfort, but not for those wanting loose fits or flashy designs. For longer legs, try Gildan’s Long Leg pack, per Amazon.Overall, these boxer briefs have been a fantastic addition to my husband’s wardrobe, offering softness and support for everything from gym runs to family gaming nights. They’re a great value, though sizing up and careful washing are key. I’m considering another pack in assorted colors! If you’ve tried these or have underwear tips, share in the comments—I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Their men’s underwear. Can screw that up, I hope
Needed the long leg covering because when I’m working in the heat, and sweat jeans on, they chafe real bad. These stop that.
