Do to have to use butter or oil on the outside of the bread (against the plates) or can i use spread?? i usually buy benecol or similar.

I use proactive marg which is similar to benecol. You don’t have to use much as the plates are nonstick and very easy to clean when they have cooled down.

what are the dimensions of the plates, please? Not the whole machine, but the size of the removable plates. Thanks!

The plates are 24.5cm x 16 with two fitting lugs and a drain which protrude up to 1.1cm beyond this size.
