Headcovers Unlimited Slouchy Snood-Caps for Women with Chemo Cancer Hair Loss

My wife has Stage 3 breast cancer. She had her second chemo a few days ago, we have 2 more of these treatments, then 12 more of another type, a masectomy and 6 weeks of radiation to go. Her long, beautiful black hair, is starting to come out. She works as a waitress, and knew she could not work with the chance of hair getting into peoples food. She had asked me several times to shave her head, but I just couldn't do it. I looked here on Amazon and found this cover....clicked order and in no time, it showed up at my door. My wife put it on and wore it every time she went to bed. It felt soft to her and it did what its supposed to. It is well made and looks cute on her head.....A couple days ago, she finally went to a salon and had them do what I couldn't bring my self to do for her. Then, the search for a wig began. I have been to several stores, bought several...she doesn't like wearing them. Ordered several here on Amazon, she says they don't feel right. I guess shes going through that stage now where she misses her hair and nothing can replace it. Shes right, nothing can. But, this slouchy cap I ordered for her does not require her to stand there in front of the mirror for hours, trying to adjust her wig and make it fit properly. It does not need to be brushed or replaced every other month...she puts it on the days she wants to conceal her head...leaves it off on the days she feels braver....even those days, its in her pocketbook, waiting. I believe out of the several hundred dollars I have spent thus far on wigs and whatnot, this has been the best investment, and by far...her favorite item. It isn't overpriced, its a family owned company, and made right here in America, by people who went through the same thing my wife and I are going through. That is enough for me to give them my business, put that with the smile on my wifes face while wearing their goods, and Im 1 happy customer. Thank you

I expect to get what I order in color. When I called I got nothing but attitude it is what it is, if you don't like it return it. They weren't interested in seeing my pictures. Would not buy again. Poor customer service.

This cancer cap was okay, but nothing special. It has a defect in the brim or band, but I kept it anyway because I desperately needed a cap to cover my bald head. I put the defective part in the back and carried on. To say I am disappointed in what is out there for cancer patients is an understatement. I simply find it hard to believe that for the price of $19.99, this piece of headware is of such poor quality. I guess it is just one more way to gouge those suffering from this horrible disease.

I love this head cover, it is my "go to" on most days as well as to use to sleep in at night. The feature of having it a bit longer so that you can use it as a night mask is a nicely added bonus, plus the fabric is soft but not so much that it isn't resilient.NOTE: I suffer from Alopecia so I have virtually no hair but somehow seem to have stubble which can be annoying with some other fabrics when using the beanie to sleep in. This one is quite comfortable as it doesn't grab the short hair stubs nor is it too thick as to cause your head to get overly hot.

I have this hair and it is not quite to my shoulders, so I have to pin it up and then place the hat on my head. It could have been slightly smaller since it does not have any stretchiness in the fabric. The fabric is very comfortable. I was looking for something that would not make my head hot in the summer. I cannot keep my hair from going straight and losing any styling I give myself. So, I have been wearing wigs and hats to cover my thinning hair. This hat has a extra fabric on the crown of the head so it allows for you to make a little pouf at the top which helps to not have a flat look.

Slouchy Cotton Knit Snood Cap for Cancer Chemotherapy - Dark Denim  I have significant hair loss on the left side of my head due to radiation therapy. I have tried many brands of headscarves and caps and I have found the Slouchy Cotton Knit Cap style from Headcovers Unlimited to be the best. Since I still have hair on the right side of my head other brands of headcovers tend to slip. I work full time so it is very important that the covering look good. HU’s caps are the only ones I have tried that I have not had to tug at or fuss with throughout the day. I put it on and it stays in place, sometimes I even forget I have it on. The cotton knit is vey soft with a bit of stretch. They are well made and substantial but not too thick or too thin. The pin tucks in the cap help give it shape and a more stylish appearance. I think the slouchy snood style would look good on young and old alike. My head is larger than average so I need something that is not too tight which has been a problem for me with other brands and styles. I have purchased almost all of the colors available. I wish they came in even more colors, particularly a true red. It would also be great if they were a part of Amazon Prime. Prices are reasonable and seem to be regularly on sale, although I like these headcovers so much I would have paid more!

My wife cuts her hair very low, almost bald, and was looking for something to wear when traveling on planes because of how cold it can get. The cap looks nothing like the picture. It is thin and slouchy, especially if you have no hair. Fits somewhat large. Its kind of soft. It will have to do for now.

Love it. I have a large head though. Would imagine it would swamp most. But it's the most comfy of all the hats I have purchased since undergoing chemo. It's great around the the house or nipping to the shops. It's also great to anchor my wig in place on a windy day and looks really nice. Had lots of compliments. Please stock more as on their American website they have a vast selection of great colours. I don't fancy the 'beige' you have currently.

I have a slightly larger than average head. However, that small difference makes it very difficult to buy hats. It amazes me that in shop after shop, hats are all one size. When I lost my hair to chemo I had to waste money on several hats until I found one that would not give me a headache. I love it and when I'm finished with my chemo (Nov 1 !!) I'm going to keep this one because it is so comfortable and will accommodate my returning hair.

Soft, warm (but not too warm), gentle on a very sore scalp. Bought 4 of these for my mother in various colours. She is wearing them all the time as her first choice during this horrible chemo time. Look really stylish and classy. Really super.

Perfect for me as I have a slightly large head, nothing unusual unless I try to buy a hat). It is the best hat I have worn during my chemo and I am devastated that I cannot buy another.
