New Customer for Life!
I rarely ever take the time to leave reviews, but this is absolutely worth it.First off, the welder arrived four days earlier than expected. My first impression was that of an extremely well-built product. The cables, stinger and leads are extremely heavy duty and feel very solid. They even threw in a couple extras such as a metal thickness gauge for your keychain and a free spool of .030 mig wire. The display is clear to read and very intuitive and comes with a nice replaceable protective cover for the LCD screen. All of that would have been good enough for me. However, this last thing got them a customer for life.I had a technical question that I couldn't find an answer to. When I called customer service, I was immediately met with an actual person. No automated system, no being put on hold. That literally never happens to me.I must admit that I was a little hesitant to buy this welder because I saw some cheaper welders while I was doing my research. However, now I realize that owning an American made product with American customer service is where the value really comes in.Oh yeah, and it welds amazing too!

Great machine
Great welder for the diyer. The only complaint I have is that the seller shipped it in a uhaul box. Not a big deal good idea concealing what was in it BUT they failed to mark it THIS SIDE UP! So it had been rolled around. Luckily it was damaged just had parts all over the place.

The setup is extremely simple and I love the auto set function
I have to start out by saying that I'm not a trained welder. I have a background in construction and I needed a welder to fabricate a truss system for my shop. The setup is extremely simple and I love the auto set function. It gives a good starting point and allows you to fine tune wire or voltage. The portabity is outstanding. I carry this machine up a 24' ladder and use it on the roof. 0 complaints.

Awesome welder
Technology has really found its way with this welder. I is SO easy to use. I took a star away because the $300 rebate was false. apparently there was a communication error on the part of Amazon and they should not have had that rebate listed. The seller did give me a welding shirt as courtesy but surprisingly Amazon did nothing to make it right. Anyway the welder is top shelf as you would expect from Miller.

For the sparkies
Electrician by trade here, mainly wrote this review because I had a hard time finding the right literature for power requirements. When I got the unit it has a nema 6-50 plug with for 250v 50a rating. After dusting off the code book and reviewing article 630 I found out why such a large plug for a small welder. Long story short inverse time breakers don't like welders, time delay fuses are preferred. ONLY IF CERTAIN CRITERIA ARE MET you can use 14awg on a 40a breaker up to 51 feet long. Now for those of you owners wanting to put an outlet in the shop, use 8/2 with ground and a nema 6-50r then a 10awg extension cord with nema 6-50 ends on it. No need for 8awg extension cord unless you're length is getting excessive. See pictures for name plate, owners manual, and extension cord from Amazon.
