This pack is middle of the road at best. Initially the gel beads were evenly spread throughout the pack, but over time there are areas that are void of the gel beads. If you attempt to move them, some of them pop. The pack does remain cool for a good 15-20 minutes though and is very flexible which is nice.For the price, I would still say it is a pretty good value.

I needed a gel pack for my neck and shoulders. This looked good, but I threw this in the freezer and after a couple of hours it was very icy and stiff. Other gel packs I've bought in the past stay flexible after hours in the freezer. At least it's the right shape and not expensive. Probably would be better if this came with some type of covering

Icing necessary as part of long-term recovery from a standard distal radius fracture & subsequent internal fixation with plate. I had been putting a small ice pack on the top and bottom of the wrist and wrapping it (one-handed!) with the opposite hand.This was far better - easier to put on, colder, and the cold lasted longer.Still recommend some sort of barrier between. The wrap and your skin. It would get uncomfortably cold on the skin before the cold could penetrate to the injury otherwise.

I love the shape of this thing but I have bought probably 10 of these and the back one as well, and they always end up busting on me! The gel beadles always end up falling out of it and getting all over our bed. Not to mention I am sure its not safe for dogs to eat so thats terrify to wake up to. Also, when it melts, it "oozes" with whats inside the plastic and when gets on your skin you break out in a horribly itchy rash, so don't fall asleep with it on your neck otherwise you will get that liquid or whatever it is all over your skin and you will break out in an itchy rash. Great concept but extremely poorly executed. It's cheap! and As always you get what you pay for! I'd rather pay more money for a stronger design!

I like the softness this gel pack provides when frozen it doesn't get had and heavy. Was only able to use it twice after freezing the corner of the ice pack came undone and beads everywhere

Fits well onto neck and shoulders. It has helped a lot in my recovery.Unfortunately, it burst after a couple weeks of use.

It's stiff and awkward when frozen, thaws quickly and is quite small. I got it for a chronic desk jockey pain by my shoulder blade, but it doesn't reach far enough down off my shoulder to help. It looked like it would be more comfortable and ergonomic than a normal rectangular ice pack, but it's not. I hung onto it because it might work better as a warm pack.

I suffer from the pain and shoulder pain and this item has help me so much because I put it in the freezer and then I put it on my knee after working out on my neck and helps me with the pain. I have not tried with the microwave but I'm sure it's also less good I have tried with the cold in the freezer and it works perfectly

Brought for my wife who suffers with several neurological conditions, nerve damage and fibromyalgia. Her migraines are terrible and she often has bad neck ache and spends time icing her neck. I was looking at the shin splint pack and saw this so I ordered it for it.She loves it. Finds it much easier to use and it real helps with her pains. It fits nicely around her neck and shoulders.The seller sends a email after buying with instructions of how to use the product which is a nice touch.
