Compared to the expensive vests marketed in birding magazines, this is a tremendous value. Looks very nice (khaki) and appears to be well made. More pockets than you will know what to do with (and complicates finding things). If you fill them up and carry a field guide and camera, the vest (like any) will feel heavy hanging from your shoulders and banging into your body. On the other hand, all those things crammed into cargo pockets on pants and shirts are heavy and awkward too. So the trick is to distribute the weight.Even with the open mesh fabric, gonna make you a little warmer in the summer time, Hip pockets are large enough to hold standard sized field guides or a small (up to 8") tablet computer stored on it's side. I keep it stocked with a notepad, pen, field guide, and few small essentials (lens wipes, chap stick, tissues) and it is ready to go birding without a big production. However, if you are going to be away from a car for a while you may need to carry a water bottle and a rain jacket, in which case you are back to using a day pack.As noted by others, zipper pull is on the left / lady style. A water bottle specific holder would be a nice modification. You can carry a water bottle in an open hip pocket but it would project up out of the pocket and could easily fall out. On the other hand,t a full water bottle would add a lot of weight. Another helpful modification would be some kind of synch or belt so that it could be made to fit more snugly around the body to keep it from moving around when you are bending, climbing, twisting, etc. Delivery took 3 weeks.I am 5'10", 155 lbs athletic built male. large is loose over a shirt, but not so much as to be a problem. Wanted to err on the large side so I could wear over a thin jacket in cooler months. On the other hand, for only another $20 you could buy a second smaller one for summer!.

Just what the Dr. ordered! Thanks to the reviewers recommending this terrific vest. Lots of pockets with zippers (great for lens caps, wallet, keys, memory cards, lens cleaner, etc. Very good buy! Hope it's durable, 'cause I'll be wearing it most of the time when I take photos.

Lots of pockets (10 on exterior, 2 on interior), all with zippers or velcro closures. I am looking forward to wearing this vest in the warm weather and being able to carry lots of small items (smart phone, eyeglasses, car keys, shopping list, gum, etc.). Largest pockets are the two on the interior and the two largest on lower exterior (each about 8" x 10.5"). I guess I am between sizes (L, XL) and I ordered the L. The size L fits but is slightly snug with the main zipper closed. Probably should have ordered the XL. I'll probably just wear it open like the model in photos. Would have given 5 stars except the main zipper pull tab is on the opposite side from all my other clothes, like on women's clothes. Will deal with it.

Excellent quality vest. My only complaint is that it is not true to size. All XXL jackets and shirts fit me quite loose whioch is waht I wanted to allow for wearing over a t-shirt allowing freedom of movement. I can put it on, but it is not loose.

After I got the correct size -- I think these run small -- it is perfect. Lots of good pockets with zippers, velcro, etc. Holds my phone while I'm outside working. I wear it out running errands, too. Wallet, keys, sunglasses. Very nice and with summer coming, it is not too hot.

The chest pockets are too small for current cell phones. I gave it three because of their photos, which made the pocket look longer. However, if you carry a small phone, this vest is very well made.

Very flimsy material and webbing. Does NOT carry any kind of camera accessories without looking weighed down and without threatening to tear. And i am referring to batteries not another lens. There is no way i would carry a second lens of $4000 plus in the vest pocket. I returned this and bought similar vest at brick and mortar on sale that was the same price, and made with quality materials.

Size it totally off. Not usable.It is made well but not usable because of the size.If you are a woman then increase the size by 2 steps and you should be ok.

I use this vest when running my dog off leash. I have many items that I have to carry. The pockets are great and the mesh is nice and cool.

I've been searching for something with pockets which could carry items during hot days and stay comfortably cool while enjoying a great bike ride this is it.The size and photo of the vest was exactly what it said it would be I received the first one I had to order a second it is a terrific buy.

I ordered on March 6th 2020 and it arrived May 18th. Not the seller's fault, the very slow shipping was due to the pandemic. I did get a very quick response from the vendor when I queried about arrival though, so the customer service is good. As to the vest itself, it fits perfectly (5'2" average sized woman - I ordered the small) and it seems quite well made, given the price. I can't yet attest to wear strength as I just got it, but it looks like it will withstand a reasonable amount of wear. I will be using it for hiking mostly, to carry all the little odds and ends. I'm quite pleased with it.
