Works really well - easy to install
We live in an old granite Cornish cottage. Router is in the hall - television in the front room through a solid granite wall. The signal there was patchy to say the least.I have a new set top box so needed a good signal.Following the instructions:Plugged in the first (Adapter) unit and connected it to the router with the supplied ethernet cable.Plugged in the extender unit by the television and connected the set top box with the supplied ethernet cable. The units recognised each other immediately - no need to physically "pair them".I then simply pressed the WPS button on the router and then the Wi-Fi button on the extender. The router SSID and password were set automatically to the receiver unit.SO simple! The set top box now has full and very fast plugged signal, and the dead spot in that room is no longer there on Wi-Fi either. - I could not be happier!

Excellent piece of kit
I recently changed broadband suppliers with a certain amount of trepidation as I can only get a signal in one room & always require a booster to be able to extend the signal. My previous two broadband suppliers provided me with boosters but I discovered to my horror that my new one did not. The sales guy suggested I buy a power line adapter with WiFi. I chose this product as it had a lot of good feedback & I was suitably impressed with how easy it was to connect. It now gives me the freedom to switch providers in the future without worrying about getting a signal throughout the house.

Perfect!
Just what we needed to get wired internet connection to the opposite side of the house. Only limited by the wires in the house, and although we have fairly new wires all around as this is a new build, we get nowhere near the top speed advertised. However, it's smooth and has very little packet loss and lag, can comfortably play online games as long as no other PCs using an adapter is downloading, that bottlenecks the speed greatly. Still very happy, watching netflix on tv and downloading at the same time is no trouble at all.

very poor performance, returned to supplier.
This was an upgrade from AV600 and to be honest, if I had known the performance would have been the same I would not have purchased this kit, I was using the same powerline and was only getting about 150mbps compared to 100mbps with the AV600.I believe there is a lot of false advertising about the speed and a lot of talk about the updates on the kit.there is also only one LAN port.I spoke with TP-Link customer services and after one hour on a chat, they could not improve the speed this then got escalated to a supervisor customer support after waiting a couple of days, I was told to move it closer if that was not possible then return the kit, sorry but if I could move it closer then surely I would have done that so.I have now returned the AV1000 due to the very poor performance.

Lots of signal
We got this because the broadband box that we got wouldn't cover the whole house ,easy to set up and works well ,we found it actually covers the whole house so we just stay connected to this

Works for real
I thought they would like the crap tplink wifi extenders, but no, they work really well, especially if you use the cable, basically no drop on the speed, I got a very crapy fibre, about 40Mbps at home, with this extender using cable on both ends, the speed in the other room stay 40Mbps. out of my expectation, Wifi signal will have a bit dropping speed though.

Doesn't always work as expected
As both ends need to be on the same circuit it may not work in the room you want to use it in.

Terrible Performance
I have 900 mbps bband.Plugged the lan unit directly into my router and the remote WiFi unit in the same double plug to test.I only got ~100 mbps thru the lan connection using (tested) CAT 7 cables and 70mbps through the WiFi. Really?Sent back for a refund.
