Avoid, avoid - Good at first but unfortunate low quality
Great product for the first few uses, but after a couple months the poor quality at the seams of the plastic means the beads slip out as they defrost - leaving a trail of the beads in your wake. Gave them the benefit of the doubt and bought a second set and had the exact same issue, so appears to be consistent poor quality. Contacted seller with no reply.

Good for calf muscles too and great practical design
After suffering with calf muscle strains on and off for the last 5 weeks due to running, I needed something to cool my legs down post jog. I have a couple of gel pads but really struggled to keep them in place so saw these with straps and really like Velcro straps which hold the pads in place nicely. I keep them in freezer and the gel beads do the job when i need them to. The only reason for not giving 5-stars is that I do find that they go from frozen to warm quite quickly compared to other gel pads I've used....may be only 15 mins of cold compression and I'd prefer a little more. Generally, would recommend these for both shins and calf muscles - really good design and ideal for those post-run cool downs or pre-run warm-ups.

Quality easy to use and works
I suffer from shin splint pain and wanted something to cool my shins when they hurt. The cooling packs are great. The straps hold in place really well and have a good adjustability range. They are comfortable to wear and easy to attach. You can still move easily with them on. Much better than ice packs you have to hold in place. It's really helped with the pain. There are just two key negative points- they don't stay very cool for as long as traditional ice packs.- they do drip a bit from any ice and condensation on the outside when freezing.I would however recommend.

Good for shin splints
Really good product for shin splints and especially for people who can’t sit around! Have these on after runs and if I get any pain and it’s been very effective.

Ok but wasn’t what I was looking for
So generally the product looks and feels great and is made well however it doesn’t stay cold for very long doesn’t give that ICE feel for more than a few minutes. Also I’ve got splints and calf pain so I would want to use them on more than just one part of the leg and unless I buy 4 it’s just not possibleUnfortunately ice in a tea towel still works much better

Does the job
Having recently started up jogging again, I suffered the return of the dreaded shin splints to the extent I had to significantly reduce the time & distance I was jogging, at a time I was gradually trying to increasing my work out to get fitter. After reading some reviews I was slightly worried about the wraps not being cold for long enough and relieving the pain. I’m not sure what the ideal time is, but for me the these wraps made the difference between having to stop jogging, and being able to carry on, significanlty reducing the pain to un noticeable levels. They are only ice cold for around 10 minutes, but for me this appears to be enough, and I use them after every jog post shower. I couldn’t recommend these more highly for any runner who is suffering this very annoying lower leg pain.

Great product- very convenient and well made
Does what it says on the tin. I love that you get two and they are big enough to cover the lower leg. The straps are sturdy and the whole product seems well made and of good quality. My only con would be it doesn't stay cold for as long as, for example, a bag of peas. However the straps and convenience more than made up for this in my opinion and it does stay cold for the hospital recommended amount of time

Game changing for shin splint sufferers!
I suffer from shin splints. All it takes is a light jog for a couple minutes and I'll get them. Having started to do crossfit and 5 a side football once a week I finally looked into finding an answer to my problem. I use a combination or calf compression sleeves, orthotic insoles and these pearl ice packs. (Right after exercise). They have made a huuuuge difference. They are secure and easy to use. I very rarely write product reviews, but on this occasion, given how much they have helped, how could I not?! Thank you!
