What is the max temperature??

My unit shipped with a 450*F max. Traeger sent out a software upgrade over the wi-fi. My max temperature is 500*F after the update. :-)

Will a 20 pound turkey fit in and get lid closed?

I smoked a 22.5 pound Turkey and 4 - 5 pound slabs of Tri tip (2 on top row and 2 to the right of the turkey) and still had space behind the turkey.

How is the surface finished? Powder coated? Heat resistant paint? Any issues with rust after a couple years?

Traeger builds their grills from materials such as cold-rolled steel and cast iron, ensuring durability and reliability. If they're properly cleaned and maintained, it can last for years. Also the Paint is heat resistant to high temperature and for the rust issues we would recommend to use a cover to protect paint against the elements which could cause the rust issues.

Where is it manufactured?
