Zymox Advanced Formula Otic Plus Enzymatic Ear Solution for Dogs and Cats Without Hydrocortisone, 1.25oz

Have used Zymox for ear discomforts for many years. Dogs do not mind getting drops put in ears. It works quickly. Can be used weekly as part of maintenance program. Would recommend to anyone who have dogs with ear problems.

I have used this brand for years and I have had complete success every time. Over the years I have had some dogs with floppy ears so it happens they they get infections. This stuff clears it up in a week or 2 and then I try to remember to use it for my dog every month or so to keep their ears comfortable and never smelly. The things the vet will do are expensive and not as effective in my experience.

This has been a miraculous product for our dog! We have a senior cocker spaniel rescue dog who came to us with horrible dental infections and chronic ear infections. The vet took care of her dentals, and then we worked hard to clear up the ear infections. Unfortunately, we went back and forth between bacterial and yeast infections in her ears for over a year. We didn’t want to do surgery on this older girl after all of her dental extractions, so we changed diet several times and tried lots of medications and cleaners over that period of a year and a half. Within two weeks of beginning treatment with this product, the bacterial and yeast infections completely cleared up and have not returned. (It’s been several months). We continue to use the product 2-3 times per week as preventative.The bottle seems kind of small for the price, but it actually does last quite awhile. It’s also cheaper than vet visits and prescription medications for dogs.

I finished a bottle of the red label Zymox plus, which has hydrocortisone in it, and thought, since my cat has a chronic issue, it would be a good idea to change to this one, which I assumed was the same formulation but without the hydrocortisone. I assumed it would work exactly the same, but it doesn't. I think this is more for longterm use with pets who just need a very basic cleaner, not with active infections. This didn't work at all for my cat, I noticed his ear got bad after 2-3 days of trying it. I've gone back to the red label one. That one works amazing for him! It might be good for Zymox to state a little more clearly what exactly this formulation works best at. I love Zymox, it's a real blessing for pets with ear issues, just wish they were a little clearer on specifics so it's easier to know which one to get. Giving 4 stars because this product DOES work when used for the proper issue, and it's not the product's fault that it didn't work on my cat. The red label one is the formulation he needs. I would like more clarity on exactly which bottle does what, though, so people don't buy the wrong one. These are awesome products!

Like many have said- it does a great job. I am happy and kinda ticked off about it. Hundreds of dollars at the vet, ear cultures & tests and 'your dog has nothing wrong with his ears but take these pills just in case. WTH? He's a bully dog, getting older and possibly has a grain allergy we figured out due to him sneaking cat food and every time he did he would roll around grinding his head into the rug etc. His ears have been driving him NUTS for almost a year. I've bought crap from stores upwards of $40 a bottle that never helped and this stuff I used for a few days and he is improving. No head shaking, no tilting his head to the side, no carpet grinding. It is worth a shot indeed.
