So far this is my favorite black underglaze. It goes on nice and smooth, with good coverage. Now my go-to for future underglaze needs

Best I’ve found.
All of the amaco underglazes are good. I use this to paint, as well as a wash over my work.Tip: if painting a design, first use on green ware, then apply again (as needed) on bisque.I’ve been testing this against the speedball black underglaze; haven’t wood fired the work yet, but amaco goes on more smoothly and evenly.This is just a potters’ staple.

They know darn well a 2oz jar of underglaze is $8, a pint is $22. So it's really clever to trick people into thinking they are getting a cheaper pint at $16. You totally got me. Nice business model
