Raimondi vs QEP
This review is based on my experience using both systems to set a travertine floor which does not have tapered edges making any lippage very noticeable. I purchased both of these for my project knowing that I would not finish in one day and that due to the curvature of the QEP clips it would be difficult to continue tiling after the thinset had cured. So the plan was to use the QEP clips until I reached a point where I was going to call it a day then set the Raimondi clips on the unfinished edge. I found that the QEP clips worked but were much more difficult to set and didn't seem to be as consistent. The QEP clips broke off better and didn't leave any pieces of plastic in my tight grout line, the Raimondi clips left several pieces of plastic in the grout line which had to be pried out. With both systems the pliers is a must. I was able to purchase a Chinese version of the Raimoni tool from ebay for about $15. So if your budget allows it I would definitely suggest going with the Raimondi system. Both are going to be time consuming but the consistency in your tile will be worth it.

Great but not a cure-all
These work great for leveling, only okay for spacing. When the wedge is inserted tightly it seems to change the spacing slightly. I recommend using these Raimondi clips (a size smaller than your desired spacing) along with the regular tile spacers (at the size you actually desire.) The biggest drawback to these, as others have mentioned, is they mostly break off level with the top of the tile. So before you can grout you have to go back over the tiles removing the plastic left behind in the grout line. If you're installing on a very flat and level floor using thin-set you might could skip these, but when using a medium bed mortar to correct a wonky floor I found them to be worthy of the time to remove the left behind plastic. There is a qualitative feeling when looking at a whole floor installed with these guys that lets you and the client know it's going to be okay. I am a repeat purchaser of these.

The Raimondi system works great. I installed 900 square feet of the 8x48s
I'm a professional flooring installer, and I looked into several leveling systems before purchasing Raimondi. I had never used a leveling system before, but had a project planned using 8"x48" tiles, which I knew would be very difficult to install without lippage. The Raimondi system works great. I installed 900 square feet of the 8x48s, and did another small job using 12x24 tiles. Not a single piece broke while tightening. I soaked the first few hundred clips or so, but then started using them straight out of the bag to see if I'd have any problems. I didn't. Other reviewers said that they feel the pliers are unnecessary, but I disagree. You'd either have bloody fingers or loose wedges. They are expensive, but I don't think the system works without them.If you are looking at other systems, they might work as well or better. All I can say is that the Raimondi system works great, and I probably won't install anything bigger than 12x12 without it.

Raimondi Leveling System steps up my game!
The system works great for installing a level tile floor. I tiled two rooms, one without and one with. The room where I used the leveling system is much superior to the first room. An added benefit is you can place them at the edges during a pause in work and come back the next day and pick up where you left off unlike some other leveling system. The parts are more expensive than some other leveling systems but worth the price due to design and results. The pliers are a better option than other leveling system where wedges are tightened by hand because you can get a tighter fit and same yourself some very sore hands. Another added benefit is the clips also act as spacers which negates part of the cost. Cons are the cost and the system comes with very few instructions. I had to play around with the pliers until I got the proper adjustment.

I used this system to install 12x24 porcelain tiles in ...
I used this system to install 12x24 porcelain tiles in my master bath. This was my first DIY tile project with large format tiles and my first time using a leveling system. I purchased the 1/16" spacer. I found it impossible to get an actual 1/16" space between my tiles. It is imperative to keep a clean edge between tiles so that no mortar gets between the tile and the spacer. Even with clean tile edges and using duct tape to pull the tiles tightly against the spacer, the space between tiles is greater than 1/16". This was aggravating as I had dry fit my tiles and made cuts prior to starting to lay tiles. I had to resize most of my perimeter tiles. Many people have complained about needing to dig out leveler pieces that did not break off as advertised. I had many spacers that didn't break cleanly but found it east to pull them out with pliers. I only had one piece that I struggled to dig out as it had broken off at tile height. I'd use the system again, but would expect the spacing to be greater than advertised.

One of the first and still most effective.
Now that so many have jumped on the bandwagon. Raimondi is still the one I trust the most. If removed in the direction of the grout line, there's very few that don't break cleanly. They won't scratch soft stone like a spinning cap. Nobody buys that film for the spinning levelers, so why chance it.There's also minimal bulk unlike so many others that are as tough as these. The biggest plus with these is you can set the pliers and forget about adjusting each one with gauged tile. They'll set every tile at the same height, so they are much faster as well.

Great!
I'm not very good at tiling, so when I found out about these, I bought them right away. They worked wonderfully. I'd never be able to get tiles as flat and even as I would have without them. It's a very good design, although a bit pricey. I highly recommend this tile leveling system.I gave it 4 stars because these clips break easily. I remember cursing a number of times because it was too much work to remove/replace my 12" x 24" porcelain tile on the wall just to put in a new clip. I even soaked them in hot water at least an hour before starting. It makes it a bit of a pain...
