What an awesome set for your loved one
This set performs flawlessly and the details are very nice. Our little guy was absolutely thrilled by it. He loves the older looking engines and his really made him happy. Toys like this get handed down so it's never a waste. Absolutely recommended.

Engine is weak and does not operate properly
This not a good buy. I have purchased other train sets before from Bachmann. This train does not perform well. It will stop for 2-3 degree uphill angle of track. Even on the same level, train stops and you have to push it from behind. I have checked fully tracks and wheels are all aligned. I need to return this train as I've spent almost $175 on it. It is not worth it.
