Great for all ages
This is fun and challenging for all in our family (3.5yo to adults!) We love that they include 4 different levels. You can certainly take a trial-and-error approach, but you can also talk your kid through different strategies and the logic behind trying certain pieces in specific places. AND it's great for travel as it's small and magnetic (only downer is that there's not a ton of extra space around the ship, where you can stick the pieces until you've used them all, but it's a minor nit). Great game!

Wonderful game for sustained concentration and quiet play
Wonderful game for sustained concentration and quiet play. My daughter got it for her 5 year old birthday and once she realized how it works she loved it. We bring it with us to religious services and she plays with it in the pew. She has had it for two months now, and the easy levels she completes very quickly (but happily) while the hardest levels are difficult (not impossible) for her. She gets frustrated with the difficult ones but has discovered that the frustrating ones are the most satisfying to finally solve.

I bought this for my 4 year old twin boys, and they take this game everywhere (park, plane, car, etc). I have a couple of travel games and this one by far takes the cake. My boys can play the first couple of levels and my 15 year old old has tried the more challenging levels. There is a answer key which my boys will occasionally just use those pages for fun instead of trying to complete the puzzle on their own. The booklets are attached to the game which helps tremendously for little ones, no chance of losing the booklets. We recently misplaced two magnetic animal pieces and I contacted smart games through facebook. I received a response with a couple of hours and they sent me replacements magnetics for free. I would recommend this game to anyone, great company and great product.

Pass the time in the Car, but recommended for over 5 years
Great game to pass the time in the car. The pieces are getting a little worn (ie the paint is coming off the edges after one road trip) which surprised me as SmartGames generally makes good products. Levels are challenging enough even for adults. I would not recommend this for kids under 5, as it's just too hard! I have a smart 6 year old and although she can do the starter levels she has trouble doing anything past that.

It was only good for SHORT-term entertainment!
I got these Smart Games for our long flight to Hawaii. I liked the fact that it is magnetic, so I didn’t have to worry about losing the pieces on the airplane. I loved that it contained the theme of the Bible, so it was a good chance to introduce a Bible story to my toddler. Even my 8yo who already knows about the story liked it. They started playing for a while, but unfortunately it didn’t last too long. I think they played up to #10 and they wanted to do something else. My 3yo son is very patient when be does the Smart Games puzzle games, so I was expecting that he would enjoy this as well. They both prefer the ghost game from the same company. It entertained them for a while, but not long. If you are debating between this and the ghost one, I’d recommend the ghost game (especially if you have boys)!I get lots of help from other reviewers, and I also try to provide my input for others as well. If my review helped you in any way, please click “helpful” for me. It will make my day! =] God bless you!
