Very strong, well made magnet. I'm very new to the mag fishing game and this set has been a lot of fun to use. Well made case, long durable rope and a very sharp and tough hook. Does exactly what I need it to do, just need to find better locations to use it at. Great gift for starters, and probably a great all around set to have in your car. Compact size makes it great for everyday use.

This turned out to be a surprisingly helpful purchase.... I have a long deep water pier and boat that always seems to need some kind of maintenance. Over the years, I've dopped a tool or two and always struggled to retrieve the item with a net, with varying degrees of success. I decided to give this a try.First off, its a very nicely manufactured item in a very nice storage box. The magnet itself is very well machined and finished. Its quality is excellent. It comes with a long nicely braided rope with attached carabiner (did I spell that right?). It also comes with a small bottled of thread-lock, gloves and a small grappling hook.And goodness, this magnet is strong. I do worry that if I ever inadvertently attached it to the side of a flat metal cabinet that I might not be able to get it off.The great news for me is that within a week after receiving the magnet it helped me retrieve a small flagpole and a tiny AC power connecting bracket that fell in the water. The cost saved (and more importantly, the time saved) more than paid for the magnet.

Easy to use, good quality, long and high quality rope. All you need is a little patients and a place to fish.

Been wanting to magnet fish, went and after the fifth drop i got something. As soon as it was above the water it snapped and i lost the magnet. I thought it was the rope but it wasn't damaged. It was more than likely the carabiner unless it was the hooks that you screw into the magnets which would be worse because those are tough and heavy duty. It wasn't being swung, just pulled straight up so regardless if the carabiner was tightened or not which it was there is no way it would've just slid right off because of the location of the latch. Either way I contacted them and i am getting a replacement, because of that i respect it a lot but i hope they get different carabiners for their product. I am not going to use the one they provide and i recommend getting an expensive heavy duty one unless you want to lose your magnet. Here's a picture showing the rope which is not damaged which i thought was very strange. It did have a plastic piece but its gone after the the whole snap.

Comes in a nice hard plastic case. Everything comes as pictured. This should provide hours of fun exploring some local waterways. This was a gift and the recipient loved it!

Bought this for my Husbands birthday and we have been having a blast with this, the whole kit has everything you need to get started. The magnet is dbl sided picks up even the smallest of things found in lakes and River, the rope is good quality, the only things we will be doing is getting another rope twice as long for places off bridges.

Wow this kit is so worth it.I'd definitely recommend it and I will upgrade eventually as I get more into the hobby
