You will insert your hand right through its back and extends up into its mouth. Your thumb will hold its lower jaw and the other fingers of yours will hold the upper jaw

Why does the Monkey shed soooo much and what can i do ??

I have not heard of that issue. It may just be loose material from manufacturing. Use a brush to brush the loose fibers away.

Are the mouth pallets stiff? Or can you scrunch them up to make more expressions (like Kermit’s mouth)?

The 28" Silly Monkey puppet does have a pliable mouth, so it can be scrunched to make more expressions. However, all of our other Full Body, Ventriloquist puppets have stiff mouths. ~ Silly Puppets
