Does the job right.
Very well made adapter for hikers stoves. Looks good and does exactly what it's made for. Even arrived early.

No more expensive canisters!
I have a Fire-Maple Blade 2 stove that sits on the ground and is fed fuel through a hose line (that way I can tip the fuel canister upside down in cold temps and still get a consistent flame). An MSR 450g fuel canister costs $10.00 at REI but you can get a four-pack of 450g Coleman canisters at Walmart for $14.00 and, thanks to this handy little guy, that's what I will be doing from now on.

Worked with 1 of 2 stoves but got hot. Not sure if normal
Apparently would need to drill the hole out larger to work with the MRS Pocket-rocket 2, the pin on the pocket rocket is too wide. It does work with my fire maple fixed star (Jet-boil style stove), although after boiling 1 cup of water the adapter itself was getting hot. I know when using the tabletop propane stoves the propane tank will get cold. So the idea that the adapter screwed on to it is getting hot worries me. Has anyone else noticed this when using a canister mounted stove? I’m wondering if Fire Maple considers this normal??

The ol bait and switch...
The item works just fine. It’s a bit heavy if your major concern is keeping your weight down on your pack. My only complaint is that the item pictured and the one I received are two different items. Makes me feel like I was tricked. I’ll include a photo.
