My daughters absolutely loved this project 4&7). I try to do a science project every week and they asked if we could do this one again. It’s great to start this in the morning and then check back on it throughout the D’Souza so they can make observations. They thoroughly enjoyed coloring their trees and making their own designs. The markers are small so it takes longer to color…but if you are looking for a project to keep them occupied the longer they color the longer they are entertained. The photos of my trees are about 4 hours into the process. A bunch of stuff fell off because I have curious cats. Other than that I’m very pleased and it was a lot of fun for the kiddos.

I got this for my 8 year old, and he has enjoyed coloring the trees and seeing how they grow overnight.As other reviewers have mentioned, the crystals are extremely fragile, so we make sure to put it somewhere where we won't need to move it before pouring in the solution. Don't expect the crystals to last, but they do stay around for a good while before crumbling if you place the tree somewhere it won't be bumped.

I questioned if this product would really be like the pictures on the box. Upon arrival and set up, I can say it’s EVEN BETTER. My 9 year old daughter can do it by herself without any frustrations. I was also pleasantly surprised at how fast the crystals formed! We came back 30 minutes after we put it together and couldn’t believe how many were already on the little tree! After 3 hours it was huge! I’d definitely recommend this as a gift for kids that enjoy science experiments! 10/10!!!

The trees grow crystals, but not nearly as full as the pictures on the box lead the consumer to believe. Completed at 11am and the VERY delicate crystals start falling off at 4pm.
