Happy
Got 10hp. On single phase 220 input its giving around 5.5 kw. To have 10 hp you need 3 phase input. But for my 5.5 kw motor its works good. I use single phase input and recive 3 phase output. This have a lot of parameters inside for different motors. Make sure you program your. Because it may not give you proper performance. Lets say you can program this for spindle motor that can give 30k rpm.

Great purchase. Great quality
The media could not be loaded. Excellent VFD. I’ve been using it for a while now and it works great. It works with my 3hp engine and with my 10 hp engine.

Someone is going to get hurt!
I'm currently dealing with the breaking resistor ...scam? I don't know what the deal is but after many emails back and forth I was told the top of their line 7.5kw model is the only one that comes ready to accept a resistor and so I shelled out the extra cash for it, many emails later i was told a 1000W 75ohm resistor was acceptable for this unit.. with everything wired as per their videos I hit start and let the bandsaw get up to speed, as soon as I hit the stop button it VIOLENTLY EXPLODED with my hand on the unit! sparks blew 3 feet out of the side vents in both directions. First I was told the problem was that my motor had to be three phase so I sent a photo confirming it is indeed a three phase motor. next my wiring was wrong so I sent photos of my wiring only to be told it was wrong with advice to connect it exactly as I had it. Finally, after sending a home video showing all my connections and terminations I'm told I connected my resistor wrong.. get this.. "I should connect to the brackets that hold the resistor in place instead of the coil terminals" What!? that sounds like an expensive jumper and not a resistor. the unit was actually running my bandsaw but if breaking is not a viable function why sell it as having it and then run me in circles when it blows up!? I'm told they're sending another unit, if they do I guess I won't try to use a breaking resistor as I can't get useful or accurate information from the source.I've seen videos of these units with a resistor working, was I given bogus information on the resistor value, can anyone confirm? I have a 220 3hp 2.2kw 60hz 9.1A motor in delta configuration running a 24" bandsaw.

Excellent product if you get educated in advance
I bought this to run a 2HP motor on a Bridgeport copy that is 3 phase. Like others say, the manual has some errors. It shows on the wiring page to hook up the single phase power to R and T. It didn't work that way. Hook it up to R and S. The best advice I can give is that before you order it spend some time on YouTube to see where others have struggled or succeeded . Do a search for "Huanyang GT" There you will find several videos including "VFD GT series operation" I took my laptop to the shop and followed it step by step. It ran perfectly with no issues at all and I have never wired a VFD. Watching videos will get you familiar with the functions. Great bargain for the money if you have some electrical skills! You will need to wire in a disconnect and likely low voltage control wiring. I went through the extra effort to install it in a enclosure.EDIT: After a successful install, I bought another larger unit for my 5hp Lathe. More challenging to install but well worth the effort. The amount of electrical hardware you get to remove is staggering! My personal opinion is to stay away from "Autotune" and just enter your basic motor parameters and HZ. Start slowly. As you learn the programming language things will start to click and make sense. Managed to get everything programmed exactly how I wanted it including the mechanical brake. Great product for the money. Patience.....required for this project but I couldn't be happier with the results!

It's working!!!
At this price, I can't believe it work and work fine. I did get this one for a hydraulic system 7.5HP 230V/460V. 3phases to run on 230v split-phase (or single phase if you like better, same thing) Scotchman 90T Ironworker. I did add the remote control to have the drive control in my face and the AC drive way in the back where nothing can hit-it or chip getting inside. It work flawlessly or almost. I usually use the Mitsubishi drive but the remote was a nice thing on this one at 1/4 of the price. I didn't expect-it to work, but I'm please about-it for the price. It's not all good, there's few draw-back and limitation that make-it limited depend on the application. As expected the instruction S#<k and very confusing. The ground is not clearly identify and the connection strip pin identification different in the book... Yes RST and UVW are clear, Ro and R1 are probably for a resistor that doesn't work, be back on this. And the first "ES" or "E" or connector"1" (depend where you look) is the ground, Frame, Earth and should be green...No the dynamic break doesn't work, it's an option. In my case, it's fine but if you drive a cutting tool and you need to stop fast, look for that option or an other drive that include that option and pay few more big one...The software and parameters set-up is good but instructions s#<k and will confused you.I'm not sure if it's me but couldn't have the pot (Speed control) working when I have an external E-Stop install?!?!And the last thing (more like bitching) that nosy little fan, it work all the time and it is load in little fan goes. There's a parameter that set-it to start at a certain temperature but mine turn on when the power is on and turn off when the power is off no matter if I have-it on temperature control... No need to add a light to tell me the machine is under power ;-)Oh I forgot the split phase issue / 3ph intake, again confusing. In the book, it clearly say to use-it on 3 phases and is not listed as being a single phase. There selection say split phase, on the web and video say split ph. in reality, single phase geos to R and T and S have nothing. My 5.5KW draw like 45Amps "Stall" 230VAC and give me a nice 21Amp 3ph. Hey what can I expect for that price... It's working...In my application it's fine but not a 5*. The price make-it better then adding a contactor and over-load and give you allot of controls, power less wiring and more versality. It's a must-have on almost any machines 3 phases.Yes I recommend-it but not for an application that require increase safety or a quoit application …

About 15% dont work out of the box
I have been using these for... 20 years. about 15% are duds right out of the box. However, when they do work, they work well and last several years.
