Nice sound, well made
I run a kids' music program and we use a lot of basic rhythm instruments, including a lot of castanets. These are as good as any we have had. They have a pleasant sound--I prefer the wooden ones to the plastic ones--and all the ones I received were well assembled, with no rough or unfinished edges. The elastic holding them together is tied in such a way that they can be played easily and seems like it will hold up for a long time. The kids enjoy using them and they have held up to the disinfecting solution we use to keep them clean. I can recommend these.

Too Small
You can't play these castanets if you are an adult (or bigger child). I am 5'2'' and they are unusable. The size is like a toy for a toddler. Not for grade school child to learn on.

Really nice
I got these for an infant and toddler music class I teach and these are perfect for the kids there. They fit their hands and have a nice sound.
