A must have
After being knocked off my bike on a roundabout by a car that didn't see me, I can confirm that it hurts. A lot. Before I went anywhere on my bike again I ordered this light - and I now wouldn't go out without it on, even in bright daylight. It has 4 settings:* bright on constantly* bright flashing* slightly dimmer constant* slightly dimmer flashingOn its bright settings it is bright enough to be noticed even during the day. It seems pretty well made, and each charge (via USB) lasts me quite a few rides. The mounting clip holds it quite firmly, and I have no concerns about it falling out. The mounting clip in turn is held to the bike with a rubber belt - if you have an oversize tube frame then you might need cable ties as another reviewer mentions, although on my bikes I can find a mount point quite easily. On that subject, it is also easy to move the light between bikes.I may be biased because of my experience, but although this may seem expensive, it is worth it to feel safe on the road

Clear, not too bright, which is a good thing
So far, so good. Well designed and seemingly well made lights that make you visible from the side. They're not too bright, so won't be dazzling anyone, but they are bright enough to draw attention. Time will tell if the build quality is up to it, they are made China. I'm hoping they do as they are a decent addition to your cycling kit.

Better visibility
With a worrying proportion of drivers of cars and other large vehicles being too blind to notice bicycles on the road, this small light seems ideal to use in dark / wet / foggy weather in particular. I feel more confident when using it (although it didn't stop me from running into a taxi whose driver looked me in the eye and pulled into a roundabout straight in front of me ...)My main problem with this little light is that I can't get it to stay put. It has a tendency to spin round the bicycle frame so that it points up-and-down instead of side-to-side. I'm constantly having to turn it back, which takes my attention off the road and one hand off the handlebars. I'm looking for a better way to fix it on than the supplied elastic bands. Also, it's awkward to remove the light when leaving the bike somewhere. Especially in this cold weather, the clip feels very stiff and likely to snap, and the elastic bands feel rather unwilling to stretch and turn a pale cream colour when stretched ...So overall, a good idea and a decent light - but the fixing method leaves a lot to be desired.

Great sidelight that cars definitely notice
I fixed a Brightside sidelight to my bike for last winter when cycling at 6am in the dark and it's a great light. I've had at least one car not hit me when it did that start-stop thing just as the Brightside came in to view. In my mind it definitely stopped me either being hit or having to swerve into the other lane out of the way.The battery lasts for hours and I only need to charge it every few days.I've seen other reviews state problems with the mounting but I must disagree. The light is held very firmly in the clip-in cradle and the supplied elastic band works with a lot of frame diameters.

Not sure about the battery
Really good idea to have the amber sound lights. However, battery doesn’t last long. The unit itself is well made.

Great light but rubbish fixing
This is a great light and makes me feel a lot safer when going round busy roundabouts. The main problem with this light is that it comes out of the cradle that is attached to the bike. It doesn’t clip in to make it secure...a really bad design. So I have just bought a second light as the first one popped out whilst getting out of my seat to cycle uphill. With my second light I’ve attached some elastic, so it’s connected to the bike. Also note the battery life not as good as my Cateye lights.Saying all that, I would recommend buying it though as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of other choices on the market and it’s a really bright side light and a must for someone cycling on busy roads.

Must have side visibility cycling safety lights
Perfect safety lights. Very good build quality and battery life. The Blinking LEDs are bright enough to attract attention and with the usual front and back lights, ensure more all round visibility. My side visibility and safety as a cyclist is highly improved with this product, especially at roundabouts and intersections. My only recommendation is the manufacturer should provide both mounts, which come as standard with their other front and back light, for flexibility to mount on different types of frames and locations. Great purchase and highly recommended

Great overall, but flashing modes are all slow
Great product, unique product of this side (combining both sides in a single light). It is too bad all the flashing modes are a bit slow (~ at least 0.7s between flashes per side, which is rather slow for good visibility), down to 0.5s to 0.3s would be much better, like most other flashing bike lamps. Because of this I use the lamp in continuous mode only and the battery life is greatly reduced.
