This tire is essentially the exact same tread pattern that you see sold under many labels, which is actually made by Chaoyang and sold in 26" sizes as the Big Daddy. Origin8 sells them as the Tsunami, also in the larger 26" sizes. You can also find this tire in 20"x4.0" with the same tread pattern and knob size as the bigger 26" tires. This 20"x3.0" version is, however, not on the same scale. Its as if the larger tire was hit with a shrink ray... Its tread is proportionally the same as its larger 26" cousins, but everything is reduced in size. That is why you see the tire in the picture look exactly as if its the larger 4.0" tire, but it has 3.0" markings on the sidewall.That proportion reduction makes it a great 3.0" tire. Its a smooth roller with plenty of knobs to dig into mild dirt or sand, just like its capable big fat cousins. Also, while there is no indication of the tpi rating on the casing, it is sturdy enough I am guessing they used a heavy duty 30 tpi casing. This is thus not any sort of lightweight tire, but it is a tough and probably very long-lasting tire.Time will tell, but I have put many thousands of miles on the larger versions of this tire in 30 tpi and it has never disappointed me.
