Easy to follow! Not for beginners!
Great book with easy to follow illustrations. I'm delighted with it, but I realise I need to buy some equipment - dumbbells, skipping rope and a weighted exercise bench/ box. Bare this in mind! It's quite hardcore for someone like me just new to all this - it contains a 4w pre-training guide which I'm doing & it assumes you're able to do leg lifts from lying on your back position. I can't fault it - I just think it's too expensive, but I'm old fashioned and like books rather than online . Please note: it says it's not suitable if you're over 50, pregnant or less than 12m post partum. I'm very happy with this!

Great exercise book and a supportive online community. Step by step and at your own pace. I have felt the difference in fitness in 4 weeks, can't wait tilo finish and start again.

Great for beginners and those needing a plan to follow
Never really followed a specific exercise plan and found this super easy to follow. There are step by step photos of everything from warm-up to workout. The pictures are small but very clear so you know what to do.There’s is some home equipment you’ll need to follow the full programme;- timer- yoga mat- skipping rope- box step (you can use stairs)- bench- 2lb/1kg dumbbellsThe ring binder file contains;- 4 week pre-training (recommended for low fitness, recent baby, over/under weight etc)- 12 week step-by-step fitness guide- Exercise guide/glossaryIt is expensive, which is why it’s not a 5 star. But for a complete novice like me, I think this is fantastic. It gives me a complete plan and something to work too. It gives me the basics so I can plan my own regime. Highly recommend if you don’t know where to begin or need a simple laid out plan to follow.

Excellent programme, but expensive.
This is the natural partner to the bodyboss 'Tone Guide, Weight & Strength Workout Training Guide for Women'. It builds on the toning work, but it also works very well as a stand-alone book. It acts like a personal trainer, taking you through all the things you need to understand before you start, along with pre-training if you feel you need to build up to being ready to undertake the full training. And the training itself is very detailed, as you are taken step by step - with instructions and photos - and day by day and week by week, all the way through the programme. It is very well thought through and clearly has been developed through real world experience. It really is very impressive - and supportive. My only issue with it is the eye-watering price.

Pictorial approach
The BodyBoss guide is a very nicely put together exercise training guide that takes you through each exercise in a step-by-step approach.It is spiral bound which makes it easy to use either at home or in the gym. While it does use some equipment, it also suggests alternatives so you can do this programme at home if necessary. It helps to have some basic equipment including dumbbells, a box step, and a skipping rope.The clear photographs of each exercise makes it easy to use and helps you complete each exercise as intended. The training plan is progressive and not too difficult at the start, even for beginners.It is expensive for a book but there are few that give such clear images to follow.

Excellent fitness book but expensive
This is a well written and presented ladies fitness book. Used by a ladies keep fit class at a community centre. The leader likes the 12 week programme and all the fitness ideas contained here. There are detailed instructions and advice on how to complete the suggested workouts as well as an helpful photo of each exercise. Most of these exercises are suitable for beginners with reasonable level of fitness. Plus the more experienced. My main concern is the price. Over £50’s is a lot and both the fitness instructor and myself have seen lower priced books of similar quality.
