Are the cards matte or glossy?

I'd call them semi-gloss. They've got a sheen to them, but they're certainly not glossy. If you're thinking like standard Western playing cards, though, these are much thicker. You won't be ripple shuffling these. Due to the extra weight, we've had no problems with them sticking together.

Are these plastic or cardstock?

The deck I received was a thick cardstock material.

What is the difference between the Red pack and the Black pack?

the red pack back of the cards is red and the black pack has black on the back of the cards; the traditional cards are the black ones
