Slicing Chips was never this easy
This slicer works very well, just as any german product.The only downside of owning this is that it's expensive and would wear out in maybe 3-4 years at the most.

CAUTION: Dangerous Item Without The Holding Tool
FIRST THE BAD: Besides cooking, I am also a woodworker, and am very much aware of how quickly a distraction can cause a quick cut from a sharp blade: Have seen friends do just that and lose fingers. I have the Borner Mandolin set which came with the safety handle. This unit should not be sold without one, period: Just my two cents of safety warning.THE GOOD: If you happen to have the mandolin set or have ordered the safe food handle then this is a great tool. The blade, as mentioned, is very very sharp. Nice addition to the Mandolin set. Would be nice to be able to attach it to the mandolin base with the other blades. I made a cardboard sleeve to store it in so that my wife will not slice a finger tip while looking through my gadget drawer.
