how many inches from heel to leg?

8 inches. These are very durable socks, nothing fancy but they stay up and don't leave compression marks on my lower calf. I must have 20 matching pairs of them. They come in Kohl's packaging, I guess they were overstocks.

I've tried so may different plain black dress socks ordered online and they are all just too thin. These aren't excessively thick but enough so that they provide a touch of padding in the sole. Quite comfortable.
