So much more useful
This easy update makes my vac so much more useful. Extra run time and easy battery swaps. Love using the batteries that I already have.

Doesn’t work
Easy to install. Worked ok on low speed setting of Dyson. Changed to high suction and it ran for 1 second then stopped until removing battery and reinstalling it. Never did get high power to work with fresh Dewalt battery.Reinstalled Dyson battery and it worked perfectly again. Disappointing.

Game Changer
No more waiting for it to charge to finish vacuuming is worth every penny. Only issue was the base of the unit popped inward when the vacuum fell over and wouldn't allow the battery to seat. Just had to unscrewed the housing and put the piece back. 100% would recommend if you already have the batteries for your tools.

Works well, but watch your Dewalt Battery aH
Works good. Here’s the deal though. Look at your battery on your unit. Mine was 2800 mah (Mili amp Hours)Divide your mah by 1000.The result will give you the size of the Dewalt Battery you should use.Example: For me 2800/1000=2.82.8 Amp Hours is the size of battery you should use on your sweeper. Essentially 3 ah will work fine because there is some voltage loss going from a Dyson battery 21.8 vdc to a Dewalt battery at 20 vdc.I would NOT recommend going higher than 4 aH, and I wouldn’t use 4 ah if I had something smaller. Like 2 or 2.5. Look on your Dewalt battery. It’ll tell you on the bottom. Just carry another one in your pocket. When it dies, put the other in.THIS IS BETTER THAN BURNING UP YOUR MOTOR BECAUSE YOU USED TOO BIG OF A BATTERY.Dyson may have limited the amount of amps that the motor will take. But I don’t know that, and you don’t know that, and Dyson probably wouldn’t tell you because they want to sell you batteries for $125.Take my advice on this. Use a smaller battery 2-3aHGood luck.PLEASE WATCH YOUR BATTERY SIZE!!

Great adapter for those with Dewalt batteries and Dyson cordless vacuum
Bought this adapter because the OEM Dyson battery was on its way out and am invested in the Dewalt power tool system. This adapter allows me to use my higher Ah Dewalt batteries which last much longer than the OEM Dyson battery. Installation was very easy and there were no issues with the fitment of the battery. Durability of the product is pretty good for the price. Have had to buy a second one because the vacuum was dropped on the battery / adapter.

Run Time is 2x Better
The quality of this product feels solid. I put my Dewalt 20v XR 5AH (DCB205) and the run time is double. Dyson says new the run time on max power of the V8 is 7 min running the spinning roller attachment. I ran it 14 minutes with a battery that is a couple of years old.

Easy fix
Great fix for a vacuum with a dead battery. Color is very close to the original color and it fit on perfectly and very easy any one can do it. For the price it’s a great way to get your vacuum up and running again without getting a aftermarket battery that isn’t the best quality and if you read the reviews on the other ones like I did those other ones may catch on fire which is why I went with this option.
