they have created the perfect diaper bag for a guy who doesn't want to ...
Whether 5.11 knows it or not, they have created the perfect diaper bag for a guy who doesn't want to wear his wife's floral print bag. The magazine pouches hold bottles, baby food pouches, and sippy cups like they were made for them. The side pockets hold hand sanitizer, butt paste, etc. and the main pocket has plenty of room for diapers, wipes, clothes, and whatnot. I loved it so much that I bought one for my brother-in-law and another one for a guy I work with. The only problem we have had is that our wives ended up liking these better than the ones they carried and wanted to take them. The best part is, when the baby grows up, you still have a really nice range bag.

All in the bag...
I bought this bag for work, in order to build a small "go bag" should an emergency occur. I wanted something that could hold extra magazines (Magpul PMAGs and pistol magazines), a small breaching kit (a small prybar and automatic centerpunch for breaking glass; I used a different pouch inside the bag to keep the prybar contained and from damaging other items), and medical supplies. The bag appears well-made and holds all of those items with ease.I did have a few issues with the bag. First, I would have liked if the end pockets were designed to hold a radio--while a Motorola radio easily fits inside them, its security is questionable, especially if moving a lot. Given the uses 5.11 is pitching for this bag (a rapid reaction deployment or go bag), the radio isn't out of the question for a need. The other issue I take with it is the lack of a carry handle. There are going to be times where you don't want to sling it like a man purse. For those times, good luck. I ended up spending $20 to have a tailor install a handle. Money well spent, in my opinion, but a shame that 5.11 couldn't do it in the first place. So, it's a good bag. I have no doubt that it will stand up to what I throw at it. I would buy it again, but wish 5.11 would add to the bag and make it even better.

Hang It By The Door And Grab It On The Way Out
5.11 is a well-known and highly regarded supplier of tactical equipment. This is a well-constructed bag made of a double-stitched tough nylon material that uses heavy duty zippers and large Velcro fasteners to keep everything locked down. It will hold six 30 rd mags of .223 ammo (or several other ammo combinations) securely and within easy reach. I put a piece of old towel between each pair of mags to help minimize any noises while moving around.Behind the mag pockets is a deep compartment that can hold an effective combination of equipment. If you're like me, you'll want to also isolate any equipment in that main compartment to avoid shifting and noise generation. Each side of the bag has an additional zippered compartment that can hold pistol mags, a flashlight or other tools. The padded and adjustable shoulder strap can be configured to hang around your neck and allow the bag to be centered on your lower belly and there is a Velcro belt loop on the inside of the bag so that you can anchor it to a 2" belt. I prefer to have the bag centered so that I can get to what I need quickly with either hand. This 5.11 Tactical Bail Out Bag is a well-made and practically designed grab bag that can be filled with critical supplies should you need to get out of your home in a hurry. The main problem I see is that the very bottom of the main compartment seems to be constructed of a thinner material. Unfortunately, because this large main compartment will hold a lot of stuff, the combined weight and/or sharp edges of whatever is being carried is likely to wear through that area first. This area needs to be reinforced by sewing in extra fabric or by the insertion of a fitted piece of foam. Either quick fix should add extra durability to this weak point. I'm very surprised that 5.11 didn't pay more attention to this part of the bag. Perhaps in the near future their bags will come out with some type of reinforced bottom.

Great Mag and Ammo Support Bag.
It's 5.11 what else do you need to know. This is what I would call a single purpose bag. Like the name says "Bail Out". Do yourself a favor and actually keep the mags loaded. If you really need to get out and clear of a vehicle then you probably won't have time to load mags. The strap if very sturdy so load the interior with ammo and loaded handgun mags. Store all your other BOB items in a 12-72hr. bag. It's best to have this bag support your firearm needs only. Update: I attached pics of what pmag Gen 3s look like loaded. Ranger plates might fit with decreased closing retention.

Great warbag
I use this bag to carry AR magazines, first aid kits, pepper sprays, and CPR masks (I work in law enforcement). The bag has held up through numerous abuses and shows no sign of wearing out anytime soon. I've crawled on the ground with it, done prone shooting with it, carried it through thick wooded areas, and thrown it around a lot. Its got a zipper pouch on each end, 3 AR style magazine pouches with velcro flaps, and a large zippered compartment in the center.I'm able to store enough useful equipment without it being to bulky to manipulate and carry a long rifle. My one complaint is in regards to the magazine pouches. There is quite a bit of velcro that secures each magazine and while trying to remove a magazine from it quickly can be hard without practice. With that said, there isn't much fear of losing a magazine while hiking, walking, running etc.For anyone looking for a durable "go bag" and needs the ability to secure rifle magazines, this is a great option. This isn't the cheapest alternative, but the build quality is worth the extra money in my opinion.

Tactical change bag.
It’s 5.11 so it’s quality! Designed as a go bag for use by first responders at an active shooter incident it’s very robust. We use the black ones at work for that purpose. They have a tendency to swing around unless you’ve got the time and the room on your gear to use the Velcro belt attachment. However I didn’t buy this as a tactical piece of kit I bought it to use as a baby change bag. I hate (real angry hate) carrying the same baby change bag my wife uses it’s too small, feminine and difficult to find things in.This bag allows me to store things I need fast like a nappy, wet wipes and a bottle in the mag pouches along the front. Then in the main bag I keep all the extra bits like a change mat, bib, milk powder and a change of clothes. The two small side zip pouches are great for a dummy and medicine. My wife hates it, I love it.

5.11 Bail Out Bag
Built to be a range bag. I use it more as a messenger bag. It is a lot better in terms of build quality than a lot of other bags that are the same price. Having cut the elastic strapping off the front pouches I find them very useful for storing a drinks bottle and first aid kit. Items that I either go to a lot, or may want to get hold of quickly. The same goes for the end pockets, having so many different areas makes it very easy to keep things easy to find. The webbing on the near side of the inside of the bag allows molle pouches to be fixed into the main section of the bag as well. Further organising what you carry. Awesome bag.
