Easy to prep; tasty with mild spice
My August 2024 order of ‘Chutnefy Beetroot Chutney - 2.64 Ounce (Pack of 2)’ arrived as two separately packaged pouches. (Each white plastic pouch is vacuum sealed and feels hard, but once you open them the contents are actually a soft dry mix which you can pour out easily.) This chutney is a Product of India, and my item has a Packaged On Date of May 17 2024 and a Best Before Date of August 16 2025. The ingredient list contains all natural ingredients as far as I see (no preservatives, for example). The preparation instructions are simple: empty a pouch into a bowl and add 225ml (7.6 oz.) of water. I used a standard US cup (8 oz.) of hot water. The water created some lumps in the mix, but if you stir long enough those dissolve. In just a minute or so, you have a lovely dark red chutney which has a definite texture to it (not a smooth sauce). I like the complex flavor, and there is some spice but not a lot — the label rates the spice level as 2 out of 3, I think I would rate a 1. I enjoyed the chutney with rice and with roti, but of course you can use it with anything you want. The chutney was very thick when I used 8 oz. of water; I think next time I will use one or two more ounces of water just to loosen it up a bit. Overall a very easy way to have a tasty chutney ready quickly!

Savory, salty, packs some heat!
This flavorful chutney is not what I expected. It’s salty, coconuty as well as having the heat of chilis and ginger, and it’s a completely savory dish rather than any sweet at all. This is SUPER EASY to pull together! It took less than a minute start to finish. I made it according to package directions and it was a little runnier than I would have liked, so next time I’ll reduce the water a touch. This will be good on a cheese board, or in a pasta salad, or a spread for a hot sandwich. I do find it a little too salty for my liking.

Really good and couldn't be easier
Just add water and stir; not even hot water, just right out of the tap. I was worried it would be too watery but the texture is great, not saucy or soupy but more like a porridge. And the flavor is wonderful: Minty, yes, but much more layered, balanced, and interesting, with just a tiny kick of spiciness to it. I loved it.

Great on toast
First time having chutney so had no idea what to expect. First off it was incredibly easy to make, just add water and as it says, was done within 5 seconds. It is in the watery side with small bits of seeds and other ingredients. I put this on toast and it actually tasted very good, a bit gritty from the ingredients with a mild spiciness to it. I couldn't taste the coconut though.

Excellent topping or even a little side dish!
I was not sure what I was getting with this as I have never had Coconut Chutney before. I really enjoyed this porridge like texture and spicy flavor with whole coconut shavings. It really was super easy to blend and did take about 5 seconds although I heated the water because I wanted to eat it warm. I ate this singly with eggs and what a great breakfast treat. Also later in the day because of the flavor profile I thought it would be good mixed in with my rice and boy was I right. What a great rice dish this makes..and it is so easy and quick to do. I will warn you it is a bit salty in flavor so eating with a lot of starches may dissipate some of that sodium.

Good for fall days
With it turning to fall I've been summoned by the food gods to eat everything pumpkin so when I saw this I figured I would give it a shot. It came packaged just fine with no spills or anything I could see. Getting it out you get two packs of this. It had been quite a while since I had eaten chutney so I had to pick up some naan as a dipper. Making one of them you get quite a bit, easily enough for my wife and I. It was easy to make and a great quick lunch. I liked the pumpkin flavor and it did a good job of making me full. All in all, this is a nice little chutney and if you like pumpkin stuff it is worth a try.

Delicious!
Very easy to make by just adding water. This has an incredible taste, definitely like it's homemade. The spices are incredible. I put this on my salmon and my eggs. Can use this for so many recipes.

Absolutely Delicious
What a surprise this was! I was not expecting that a chutney that was so easy to prepare could be this authentic and good. The flavor is delightfully complex without the omnipresent garlic that seems to be in every mix these days. My wife, who has traveled frequently to India, said that the smell alone took her immediately back there. We've tried it with just some potatoes so far, but I've got my eye on some salmon in the fridge that would be perfect with this. . . .
