Do these mats contain PVC?

Hello There, They are PVC FREE The thin black top conductive layer is the layer that your body makes contact with. It is made of PU (Polyurethane) resin. Leather look-alike items made with polyurethane (PU) are very consumer friendly and safe unlike older PVC leathers. Our PU Leather is vinyl free, and platelet free. The thin black layer of PU leather is infused with conductive carbon pigment for the conductive top layer. Carbon is the 2nd most abundant element in the human body after oxygen. The carbon is what conducts the earths energy. It also makes the leather flame resistant naturally without the use of harsh flame resistant chemicals. The PU Leather would not be conductive without the addition of carbon. The bottom or non- conductive layer is made of TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) closed cell foam. This is among the safest foam used. It is latex and PVC free. This is the same foam used in footwear, and even in children’s foam toys. Can you plug it into a power strip or does it have to be a wall outlet?

Mine is plugged into a power strip. It is definitely grounded per the adapter. My thought are that if the wall outlet is grounded and the power strip is plugged into the grounded outlet, you’re still on the home “grid”. Mine definitely works!!! Love it and use it every night!

We just purchased a set of two mats but there is only one adapter. We wanted to use these at desks that are on different floors. Can we plug directly?

The adapter thing is to check your outlets. Each mat comes with it's own cord that plugs directly into each outlet ground, center hole.

My bed is very far from my outlet. How long is the cord?

Really long and part of it is coiled for extra stretch. I’m sure it will reach. I bought these mats, then I went to the earthing website and purchased the starter kit which includes the cover specially made for the bed. It’s better for sleeping than the mat in my opinion. It’s softer and thin, and feels good even above the sheet. Can’t go wrong either way. Enjoy the best sleep of your life!
