Great Play Set, But Instructions are a Joke
Now that set-up is complete I am very happy with this play set. That being said, when I purchased it, nowhere on the listing did it say that it would be delivered on a tractor trailer. I live in the mountains where that is absolutely not an option, so it took me several weeks of back and forth to finally get it shipped to my place of business and then had to pay someone with a trailer to take it home for me. The boxes are huge! If I had known delivery was on a tractor trailer I never would have ordered it...Assembly was a bit tedious, as I had to do it all by myself, and took about 5 hours total (some of that time was taking it apart and putting it back together when I realized I had made a mistake...) Definitely would have been much easier with a second set of hands! The instructions are terrible! Pictures only instruction manuals are fine, but these pictures don't even show the parts clearly, leaving much of it up to guessing and trial and error.A couple of assembly tips:When attaching the slide, you have to tip the base way back, like 30 degrees, and the slide will slip in to place as you lower the base back down to a level position. Also, feel under the slide to make sure the grooves on the slide are lining up with the base. It took me about a 1/2 hour to get it in, but I was by myself, so there was nobody to hold the base steady at an angle. I actually ended up putting the unassembled end of the swing under the front of the base to hold it up while I wiggled the slide into place... It's not easy, but then it will suddenly just pop in place. If you are attaching the swing set to the playhouse section, do not put the red top piece on the playhouse, or you will just have to take it off when you attach the swing set pole. When you are putting the metal swing set pole into the climber and end piece, be very aware of which side is up. My pole had no markings on it, so of course I installed it upside down the first time. The pole has round holes on one side and oval holes on the other side. When assembling, the round holes face UP and the oval holes face DOWN. If you assemble it incorrectly you will have to take almost the whole play set apart as the pole does not spin freely, but instead has pins sandwiched in the side pieces to keep it from rotating during play/use...Lastly, spare yourself the irritation and before you even get started, make sure you have a hex nut and ratchet set (with the longer extension piece) because the plastic one they send with the set will not get the job done (easily). Now that assembly is complete it could not be any better! My 2 year old grand daughter loves it and spends hours playing on it every day!

Great Swing set!
Update: this swing set has been great! Purchased back in 2016 and still looks great. These are current pictures. We live in Northern Minnesota so this takes cold, snow, sun and heat very well.Someone was asking about the bar installation. I included a picture of how ours is put together.I ordered the Step 2 after researching many different swing sets. I like the couple different play options all in one, slide, swing and play house. I already had the baby bucket swing to use I stead of the strap swing. My grand daughters daycare happens to have the same swing and the kids love playing on it.It took a couple of us to put together, (1 1/2 hrs) the bolts were a little tough to insert, but we succeeded. Follow the directions well, and you won't have a problem.I like the heavy duty plastic material instead to the wood, less splinters. Looking forward to many years of use since my grand daughter is only 16 months.

Sturdy, easy to clean, tough install
The playset is great for my 1.5 year old. He's a great mover, and with a spotter can climb up the stairs on his own. We bought a toddler swing separately, and I think swinging may be his favorite thing in the world, so the best part is we don't have to haul off to the park, we can just hang out in the back yard. It definitely won't last until age 8, but if we get three summers out of it and resell it locally, then we'll get our money's worth.Agree with others that there was some difficulty with the installation. We did have to go to hardware store (a) for longer bolts and (b) for the right sized long extension for our own ratchet. The plastic one included with the set didn't work for us. It wasn't impossible, though, and you can do it in an afternoon. As a bonus, the natural colors fit nicely into our backyard. We were looking at wooden sets, but we didn't want to make that investment right now when all he needs is a swing, really. We are very satisfied with this decision.

Great for the price!
So much bigger than I though it was going to be! Super sturdy!! Myself and my son can be on the swings at the same time. (He's just about 1 and in an infant swing, and I'm about 120 lbs.) I didn't think it was going to be big or strong enough..but this thing is great! The age on the side says 4-8 years old....not true. no way. I would say a better age group would be 1 (with supervision obviously) to around 4 or 5ish. I say this because the tower doesn't leave much room for an older child to stand up on and the slide is VERY narrow. Myself being a smaller person, I can't fit down it width ways. My son, almost 1, has about two inches to spare. The play house idea is great, but again very small. In all this was a great buy for what we need at the time. We looked at a number of HUGE wooden sets. They're very expensive and way, way to big for my little one at the moment. This one buys us a few years, and then he'll be ready for the big one :)

Great for my toddler
She’s almost 3. Perfect size for her to climb on and swing. Safe and durable. Directions a little backwards

Little man loves it!
We really wanted to get our son a swing set and this one is PERFECT! Our son absolutely loves the swing and has become a pro at climbing up the slide. Folks, assembling it SUCKED! That being said, I did it by myself and it took an total of 3.5 hours. The instructions are kids of worthless...would’ve been helpful to have a description in addition to the pictures, but at least I was prepared for that from reading previous reviews. Hey haven’t secured it to the ground yet, but I won’t be using the polls it came with. All in all, this was a good purchase for our 22 month old and it feels like it will last for a few years. If you’re on the fence, I say go for it!
