Works great with induction stovetop
My induction stovetop can combine two burners into one large one and that's exactly what I hoped this pan would allow me to do.It conducts heat well and is perfect for making pancakes, burgers and any dish you would use multiple frying pans for. It's also not too heavy, which means it doesn't get insanely hot. My stovetop has shut itself off when my other cast iron pans get too hot. It's well made and perfect for everyday use.

Hard to beat a Lodge
Tried many different grills and griddles on the gas stove top, but nothing beats a Lodge. I scored a super bargain with Amazon warehouse used like new option. Extremely satisfied with this purchase. Overall this fits the grill nicely, straddling fairly even over the two of the burners and has slightly angled sides but not too high. Heats evenly, easy to clean and has sturdy handles to grab onto. Downside for those unfamiliar with cast iron is the weight, however that is design perfection which helps to maintain steady heat once reaching desired temperature stays hot. Will not warp or deform while cooking, no worries for clad aluminum melt down, just nice old fashioned reliable quality!

Solid, but slightly warped/bottom not flat
This is fantastic for a grill or a fire pit, but I intended to have it as a cooktop accessory with a glass cooktop.Even though it's high quality and solid, and works great on the grill, the bottom is bowed a little and it does not sit flat on a glass cooktop, so not safe or practical to use it on my cooktop.

Heavy, even heating!
I bought this to replace the “toy” griddle that came with my fancy gas stove. (The original had no heat retention, and the nonstick coating wore off in like a week — thanks LG! BUT this thing is great — just as good as their skillets. ‘A couple notes: the handles get HOT, so you’ll want potholders or silicon grippies. Also, the factory pre-season is NOT good enough to prevent sticking. I seasoned it myself about 3 times, until it turned a nice, uniform glossy black in color, and now the pancakes just slide around on it — every bit as good as a “non-stick” pan.

This grill is NOT cast iron!
I have been using Lodge pans for over 60 years. This is the first Lodge product I have not liked. When you buy Lodge you expect cast iron. This grill is cold rolled plate with welded corners. Not cast iron. The bottom is not flat, so it wobbles on a hard surface.Yes, I understand there are material issues with a large cast iron surface but there are solutions better than selling welded plate.

Not suitable for induction
Unit is very heavy and rough. Slight warp to the flat bottom. Not suitable to use on my induction cooktop as intended. Would be good to put over a campfire.

Love the pan
Love it, the only thing I don't like is that lodge put there logo on it. Food gets on it.i would prefer off to the side or under. Just easier to clean, a bit heavy maybe 5 pounds, but feels durable
