The media could not be loaded. Does exactly what it says in the instructions. No fuss. Took it out of the box, popped it on my desk, lit a tea light candle, left it for an hour or so and then watched the lava bubbles until I went to bed. Blew out the candle and noticed I hadn’t even used much of the tea light by morning. Energy efficient, calming (watching the bubbles and flames together), made well, portable and looks great.

Absolutely love my new lamp. I've had lava lamps before but all electronic. The bace of this one is very sturdy and everything is firmly glued together. It takes around 45 minutes to an hour to get it going but once it does it's a nice relaxing experience. The opening for the candle is also curved enough to protect the flame from the fan in the room. This is perfect for tea time. I would suggest that anyone buying it also invest in some slow burning tea light candles

Wouldn't recommend as had candle lit for 4 hours nothing happened so lit another one and still nothing. So these clearly don't work.

The media could not be loaded. As with any lava lamp you've got to wait for it to heat up so 4+hrs long tealights are needed but once it's going its great. Love that you dont need electricity

It really works! It does not take long to heat up, unlike the electric kind. Be aware that the wax chamber does not light up, so in complete darkness you would only see the candle. But that is no problem if you have a light on, or another candle neaby.

!!!You need 8HR!!! chunky tealight candles for any chance of this working. This isn't the best when it comes to candle-powered lava lamps, but the bubbling of the wax doesn't match an electric-powered one but its still a cute little desk lamp. with all that said not bad for £15

Sometimes you find a bargain and this was one of those times. Not as good or as polished as the ‘real’ ones from you know who but very useable, cool and froody :-)Recommended! :-)

it is with a heavy heart that i must rate this item quite low. i saw the reviews and thought these lamps looked so pretty. i have autism so these things are extremely pleasant and not too overwhelming for me, sensory wise. unfortunately, it came and was faulty. the wax was all stuck together in one blob, and lifted up a spring with it. i used a tea candle, left it in for the recommended amount of time, and that was all i got. i’m quite disappointed, as i thought the lamp i bought (green and pink) was so pretty and i have not seen any others with these colours. the tea light aspect intrigued me, as i hate the idea of wasting electricity. this lamp should be very easy to use, yet mine just was not very good. i am returning it soon and hoping for a refund.
