Excellent Product
Bought this to paint my pool slide in place instead of taking it down and taking it to a body shop to be sprayed with automotive enamel. Pleasantly surprised when I opened the can - color and consistency both very good. Emptied it into my bucket and then used mineral spirits to “wash” the can in order to pick up any pigment residue. I used mineral spirits as a thinner since I was brushing this on and wanted to give it time to flash out before drying. Paint went on smoothly and covered very well using a Purdy nylon brush. Cleaned my brush with gasoline for first two cleaning and mineral spirits for the last one each time. Drying time between coats was overnight and there were no soft spots. Couple of sags where I over applied it but they sanded out quickly. Have now applied three coats scuffing between coats with a Scotchbrite pad and I am very pleased with the results. Appears to have bonded well and the gloss is outstanding. As with any oil based enamel it takes some practice when brushing it on - it is prone to sags and runs if too much is applied. Will be interesting to see how this holds up through a swimming season and the blazing sun.

Follow Instructions and Get Near-Spray Quality Finish
First, I had never painted a boat and was dubious about reports of near-spray quality results with any of the boat paints. My boat is old so I figured anything would be an improvement. I chose Total Boat mainly because it was easier through Amazon. I mixed two parts Yellow with one part Fighting Lady. (Can't add pigment. You have to mix Wet Edge paint instead).I was amazed at the smooth finish of the final paint job. I think that it is 85% of a spray job. If I had thought that it would turn out this well I would have been more careful with the primer coats and prep.Advice: Painting outdoors is challenging. Each coat takes several days to dry and then you have to fight rain, humidity and temperature. I finished it in the garage and it was a snap. For me, the primer was really thick, went on with a lot of orange peel and it dried slowly, and it was clumping during sanding because I didn't let it cure (all problems were user error). When the primer was cured it was easily sanded down and may have helped with smoothing the fiberglass imperfections. The primer prep is he key to a quality paint job. Take your time here. The paint went on well. The first coat had some orange peel because I put it on too thick and didn't have a quality paint brush. It was remediated when I sanded it down (again, wait for it to cure!). I applied the last coat uncomfortably thin with tip and roll, and it turned out marvelous! It took 1 gallon of primer and about 1/2 gallon of paint for an 18' boat.Use a 1/8" foam roller (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0168S0ETE?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1) for the areas you want to look perfect, and use a true badger hair brush (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000N9LE80?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1). It is worth the money for this task.

Let's see if this will work...
I bought this paint to do something it wasn't made for. I'm using it on old tires to make white walls on my VW rat rod. Way, way cheaper than buying white walls. Just needed to scuff up and clean the area of the tires I wanted to paint. Seems to be working more or less so far. It's obviously not show quality but it makes the old tires and car look cool. Easy to touch up as needed also. Now, I only need to come up with some sort of boat to finish up what's left in the can.

Best paint for my old 1986 fiberglass wash tub.
This paint is amazing. I’m not a painter but I had no trouble. My first coat I mixed with the recommended thinner 10 % Because I had read to do so or you would get runs. I did it with a brush for the corners and along the bottom sides and rolled the rest with a foam roller. I had to keep watching after I painted it to brush or roll out the runs. After it dried ( I let it sit 2 days. ). I sanded a few small rounds and painted the second coat with no thinner in it and it seemed to be easier with no trouble of runs. It turned out amazing. Like a new sink. I have used it a lot and not one scuff mark or peeling at all. Will post again in the future if I see any flaws but so far the best paint I ever used.

Hold up well when used as intended
Very easy product to apply. I have used on multiple different boat products and it holds up well. I regret painting the deck of my boat deck with the white because of how shiny and bright it is.I can also say that it doesn’t do well underwater (which is obviously not what it’s made for.) I typically only have my boat in for the day so the bottom was painted with this product. This year I ended up leaving it in the lake for a couple of weeks and everything under the water line bubbled up like a bad case of monkey pox.I would recommend this product for its intended use and I plan on using it again in the future.

WRONG COLOR sent! Twice!!!!!
I was careful to order the correct color I needed, FLAG BLUE, but was shipped a different color. I tried to initiate a return but the item is considered "Non Returnable". After a bit of bot Chat with customer service they said they will refund my money. We will see if I have to go the credit card company. The problem for amazon is the scan sticker on the plastic bag says " Flag Blue" but the color of the paint is not flag blue, Sand Beige in one case and Flat White in another. So I will try again and hope for the best, seems like a warehouse problem.Total Boat products are great if they arrive. Use the Epoxy and it's on par with West System but less expensive. Thanks Andy from Boatworks Today show.Wish me luck, gotta paint the bootstripe before I launchUPDATE: The third time was the charm. Got the correct color and am good to go. Total Boat Products are fantastic

Excellent Topside Coating
Used on my 1989 Henry O boat. The application must be followed and apply thin coats. Very durable. I used a roller to apply. Worked out nice
