Geo F Trumper Eucris Shaving Cream Tube (75 g) by Geo F. Trumper

The reason this is five star to me is because it excels at what it is intended to do; small amount and lots of lather, mixes fast, cleans up fast, and provides the smooth glide you want on the face! While that is the main goal, you have the scent which is VERY subjective and a personal preference of which i removed from my rating for that reason only. I do not like the scent but that does not mean you will not. I get a great shave every time i use it, and when its empty i will try another flavor from that company hoping it is as good. What i have learned these past 6 months of trying out (to date) various soaps and creams (and blades), the prep, care, hair/skin type, razor and blade quality matched to user, the method used for cutting beard growth (operator) ect.., the opinions expressed should not completely sway you from trying a product if you think a certain buzz word in its description has merit to your needs. Even though i do not like the smell i can't fault the product for the shave given. The other thing i learned was after each use of this or any other brand that has the same issue, is most don't overpower your nose like a bad perfume can. You know its there during the shave process but they quickly fade out and never linger very long after you cleanup., something i like in a good cream /soap.

I don’t like the plastic tube.

I purchased a travel tube of Geo F. Trumper Eucris because I am a fan of rich British shaving creams and have wanted to try Geo F. Trumper of any scent from watching a couple shaving review videos on YouTube. Couple of videos spoke of the James Bond connection with this particular fragrance "Eucris" intriguing like 007. The price was awesome so I did a blind buy hoping for the best. Geo F. Trumper is an awesome shaving cream and I love the rich lather I will purchase another fragrance in the near future. I have to knock out 1 star due to the dated fragrance that is Eucris. It works well for the over 50 crowd but any one younger might find it smells too much like grandpa. I myself am a member of the over 50 crowd and I feel like a distinguished elder whenever I use Geo F. Trumper "Eucris". British shaving cream has an excellent reputation worldwide Geo F. Trumper is no exception providing a rich luxurious shaving experience I look forward to experiencing a few more fragrances from this fine brand.

The product itself is excellent. The only question is whether you enjoy the spicy scent of an old world barber shop. I do, and suspect most of the over 50 crowd will to. Younger men, 20’s and 30’s may not enjoy the scent but do not let these words stop you from trying. I love this stuff!Small con regarding this tube version. It seems to separate into water and cream when squeezed out. However, it lathers great. So my next purchase will be a jar. Purchased the tube first to see if I would like it, I do!

I was unprepared for the strength of the scent. Of course, it's a crapshoot when buying this type of thing online if you've never smelled it before. Luckily, my wife and I both enjoy the scent. Eucris is an old-fashioned aroma, with a mix of something musky. I'm not a musk guy, but this is great. It's hard to accurately describe how it smells, but I would liken it to a traditional shaving cream with a twist. The scent lingers lightly throughout the day and sometimes burst through my aftershave. Thankfully, I like that.I did knock a star off because the lather is a tricky beast, which is frustrating given the price of Trumpers. I still haven't quite figured it out. It seems to work best with lukewarm water and a small badger brush (or boar if it is used lightly) and not too little or too much lathering. If you can make it work, the performance isn't extraordinary but definitely not bad.Overall, highly recommended for the scent and decent performance. I imagine you can get a similar performance from a cheaper product. However, you will not find a fragrance quite like Eucris!

I have been shaving with a double edge razor or straight razor for about five years. I normally use a different brand TOBS. This is the first time I have tried this brand so I can not compare there other products. I am not sure if I got an old tube or what. The slickness when the razor slides on my face was decent. One problem I had was it dried on my face pretty quick. The second problem was the scent the smell is not for me has a very herbal smell to me, but you may like it, the biggest problem was the smell stayed in my brush for almost two weeks, getting less and less after each time I use it. I use an Edwin Jagger badger brush. So bottom line I will not be using this again but it may be ok for you. The main reason I wanted to try this is I have read people saying how much the liked it on forums so there is a lot of people that like it just not for me.

So good on so many levels! The fragrance is wonderful to wake you up in the morning. The rich leather makes shaving, effortless and leaves you with baby fine skin. Love this product

I love this scent. I had high hopes for the shaving cream after reading disappointing reviews on the soap. I was able to generate a lather easily, however, it was not as thick or slick as some of the soaps I have been using (i.e. some of the Barrister & Mann tallow soaps Barrister and Mann Tallow Shaving Soap (Beaudelaire)). It tended to dry out, but this was easily remedied by reapplication. It is an OK shaving cream with an awesome scent. I'll keep using it from time to time, but unless you love the scent, don't bother with it.
