Futrzane Faux Fur Trim For Hood Replacement - Like Real Fur - Buttons Included

I have never used real fur but have tried many faux fur products as I live in an area where fur is the only real insulator that works, as well as a fringe to redirect blowing snow away from my face. For many years I have either done without or limped by with some faux fur product that may look a bit real but performs badly as its made to look to others like you may have a fur trim but not work like it is fur and had poor insulating factors and after 5 minutes of blocking a few snow flakes its just a soggy mess of man-made thread.Then I found the Futrzane products, first and foremost , if your just looking for a nice faux fur addition to accessory that looks as real as possible, this is the item you want. Its beautifully made, the fur is soft and feels alive, just as if your were petting the animal. If you need fur for extreme condition but refuse to use fur that is not an old hand me down piece, this is the product you want to do the job. Its everything you want from real fur: it insulates, and keeps moisture away, its light, weight and does not absorb wet from rain and snow and bog the fur down, a quick shake when there is some pile up of flakes or drops and the drop or flakes are shed, actually I can now shake snow off better than most of my dogs. The colors do not run or lose their color when it gets damp, and like real fur, it dries fast. To not only have a product that looks as wonderful as nature would make it but that also performs just like nature made it is wonderful. The default sizes work well whether you are edging or lining a hood, or making a flip back, whether for a child, teen or any adult sizes. I have actually been removing all the faux fur that has been working poorly for years from our outerwear and layer sweaters and vests and replacing it with this product. And that is an additional bonus with this product, they have a wide range of colors, many of which are very similar to the winter coats of wildlife we see every day and also have a few colors for those who need more of a 'fantasy' color to match what they want to add faux fur too, but even those colors that don't exist in nature look like they could as the dyes have been applied to look like the coloration of growing fur.They also carry cuff trims which are a wonderful addition to your outerwear as fur is the only really sure way to stop cold or and snow from blowing up a coat or jacket sleeve and are a great addition to the cuffs of gloves and mitten as well as sweaters. The trims are hardy enough and perform well under use and lend them selves to be made into sets and as they are made with well attached button loops, you can change out sets between various items of clothing that buttons have been attached too, To be able to change out a hood trim or face lining and the cuffs to alternate types of fur, you can make your favorite wear look different from day to day, and if the fur on a hood or cuff gets dirty and needs a day off for washing, its a simple matter to unloop the dirty item from the buttons and having a backup, loop that on and you stay cozy.The only downside, if you can call it that, is that as far as my animals know, when they are looking to snuggle up and stay warm, they, too, cannot tell the difference apparently. None of my pets have every really cared about other faux fur products I have used in the past, as they could probably tell that they were not experience what real fur would do to distribute body warmth and insulate from the drafts and cold. Although I remember as a young child that our pets preferred to snuggle in hoods and around collars of outer wear left wear they could get to them made from real fur the owner had hunted or trapped for the purpose, my pets have ignored out outerwear with faux products and preferred the electric blankets but now that we have switched to using the Futrzane product we regularly find the cats curled up on outer coat collars and the dog asleep with as much of his head and shoulders in in a hood lines with these faux furs, so its either that they cannot tell the difference or even if they can, it feels just as good as real to them too.The craftmanship on each piece I have gotten has been perfect. I have never gotten one that was mis-sewn or had a defect, which shows a great deal of care taken with this product. Because I have not had any reason to return or refund any of these pieces I cannot say anything about their customer service but given the care taken with each product I can imagine that they have good service.The price point is excellent too. Given the quality, looks, feel, performance of this product the price is more than reasonable, especially as the product is obviously going to out last the item of outerwear or clothing its used with. I have had faux fur products I have paid 2 and 3 times as much that were no wear near as good as this product is or as near to real as it is. Although. I would never use the real thing there are many samples of real fur hunted and used in native outerwear and protective clothing that is on display in the clothing museum and its very hard to tell the difference between the Futrzane pieces we are wearing and the real fur on display.

It was time to buy a new winter coat this year. And I wanted a more unique and stylish coat instead of the usual coats you see everywhere.After some shopping, I found a coat that I liked but it didn't have the fur trimmed hood that I admired on some of the other coats I saw.But then I saw Futzrane Fur trim on Amazon. It looked good and color selections were excellent. You could pair fur and coat colors for your own custom look! And the price is also very reasonable!I decided on the Siberian Silver and measured the length of my hood and ordered the size small (26 inches). Amazon got it to me within four days of ordering, which was excellent! It arrived in a large vinyl envelope. After opening it, and removing from the bag inside, it fluffed up easily and looked great! I wrapped it along the edge of the hood to check the length and it fit perfect!As described, it attaches by folding the fur around the edge of the hood and hooking the elastic loops over the buttons you sew along each side of the edge of the hood.It's as easy as sewing each pair of buttons back-to-back along the edge of the hood. But getting the button spacing right requires some attention. I found it easiest to start by sewing the first pair of buttons on at the center of the hood. Then I attached the elastic loops at that location and marked the location of the next loop with a piece of masking tape and sewed the next pair of buttons on. I repeated these steps until all the buttons were attached. It worked well and helped to make sure the buttons were properly aligned with the loops. [ I had difficulty accessing the manufacturer's instructions online however, so please check their instruction too, as they may have other helpful tips LOL! ]I would recommend this product. It is very well made and I would expect it to easily last the life of the coat. And after adding the fur trim, I have received several compliments on my coat! I'm now thinking of ordering a different color to dress up another coat I have!

*Update* I have now used this fur hood on my winter coat for a full year and I LOVE it still! I brought it with me to Norway and went downhill skiing in a blizzard. It was still, cute, fluffy, and perfection!!!I finally found a new winter coat that I loved and I wanted to have fur on the hood. It was one thing my new coat was missing that I would've preferred. I heard about this product and was REALLY excited! It took me a while to decide on which color I wanted, but I went with XS White with Black Raccoon. I am thrilled, I LOVE it!! I finally got the buttons for it sewed on yesterday. It took me about 1.5hrs to sew everything, and this was sewing and talking with friends. It was very easy to do, and since you have two buttons back-to-back, you can sew the inside and outside on at once!I highly recommend it if you're looking for a great fur hood to pep up your jacket!

This hood trim exceeds my expectations. The fibre colours are lovely and the whole thing seems well made. It looks fabulous on my coat. I love it.Make sure to measure your hood and order the correct size.

I was a bit sceptical at first but this fits beautifully and looks great. I have a Wellensteyn Schneezauberer coat, which has lasted for several years. I forgot to take the original trim off when it was dry cleaned and it came back fuzzy and short. This new faux fur trim fits really snugly, once you have sewn on all the buttons. I am amazed at how good it looks and especially at how perfect the fit is. I can definitely recommend it, and I don't usually write Amazon reviews, so it must be good.
