This book is excellent for helping to teach young relatives who do not live in New Orleans about the New Orleans culture. The Friday night before Mardi Gras day, the Zulu Ball is held with a night of pageantry ultimately leading to the Zulu Parade, the first to roll on Mardi Gras Day. Children know that no matter where they live, they can have the dream of someday attending the ball, or being a Zulu warrior. Great book!

ZULU for YOU
This is a lovely book about the history and traditions of a New Orleans tradition. It will appeal to young and old, black and white, especially now after Katrina when New Orleans people are trying so hard to hang on to what is left of their former lives and traditions.

Wonderful!!!!!
My daughter and I both enjoyed this book. It has an interesting storyline as well as a view into the "real" Mardi Gras experience.
