Jet Fighters Coloring Book

This One Is Good
When I saw Dover Publishers, I knew this would be a winner. John did not let me down. You might think that military aircraft are not a good subject for a coloring book, but think again. A military jet might appear all gray, but when you look more closely at it, there are many colors and nuances that will keep a conscientious coloring maven busy for hours. The pictures are meticulously rendered. If you get this book, look at the Navy Corsair II. John included the safety and the warning decals as well as other associated graphics. You, however, will need a knowledge of colors and markings that different countries use in order to create a totally authentic rendering, because John gives no indication of the associated hues. But the cover and back gives you details about half a dozen or so planes.I use Crayola and Rose Art pencils and have recently addded some Prangs, Loews and Faber Castels to my pencil inventory. I have tried Prismacolor, but they tend to be too soft for me.If you are an adult into military subjects and you enjoy meticulous detail, this is a coloring book you will enjoy.

Dover perfect to art gift box for a boy
Again, Dover has encyclopedic topics in their coloring books! I make art boxes for little kids as gifts. Dover has a coloring book and a subject for any one almost any age that can old a colored pencil or crayon. These books given with a set of colored pencils and a pencil sharpener especially for colored pencils was the best praise and feedback I have received on a children's gift. I included safety scissors, rulers, transparent tape, child safe glue, a inexpensive drawing pad, and other items so the kids could not only color but cut out and make other items from the coloring books.

Quality and price
I was so happy to find this item. It was a Christmas present for a 90 year old Korean war jet fighter pilot who is a friend of mine. We color together with adult coloring books and colored pencils. This was a great gift for him! This coloring book contains the exact airplane he used to fly. How cool is that!

Third book of this series I have
Coloring books, not just for children. Although many children, mostly boys, would enjoy this coloring book, so do I. I truly enjoy it. In it are some of my favorite jet aircraft I grew up with in the 50s & 60s, and helped me decide to become an Air Force Firefighter. Now disabled, I enjoy coloring these aircraft with colored pencils, my preferred coloring method. At a terrific price, with many great aircraft to choose from, very enjoyable, though there are many inconsistencies in the captions, some untrue facts given. I am an aircraft expert, after all! Very worth having if you or someone you know likes military jet fighters.

Great coloring book
I have not seen this type of coloring book in the retail store, so it's so convenient to buy one with Amazon. Great book with some many different jets. My son is 9 and he loves coloring it. It's a great gift for boys that love military.

Luckily he's still at an age where he enjoys fighter planes and loved the thing.

Excellent
If you're into planes and enjoy colouring, this is highly recommended.I prefer this one to its sister book (Airplanes of the Second World War), because there's a greater variety of colour schemes to tackle, whereas the WW2 book seems to have a great many planes in exactly the same colours. It's a nice lightweight paperback, so won't give you aching fingers from holding it steady.Pages have double-sided printing, totalling 44 planes. The printing is quite fine and all aircraft are perfectly proportioned. The paper quality is ok, but will show-through a little if you go heavy with water-based markers. Best to use colour pencils for this one, but beware that the printing ink will slightly transfer onto the back of the page you're working on, from the next page along. (Best to use a sheet of paper as a separator). Well worth buying.

Great colouring book for anyone mad about jets!
I bought this for my 7 year old son who is really keen on jets. He loves it. It has plenty of detail if you want to do quite intricate colouring. Lots of pictures to colour.
